Just wanted to take and informal poll.
For those of you in the northern hemisphere (sorry Aussies and Kiwis) does your game play habits and purchase habits change due to the seasons?

I.e. do you play less during the summer months than the winter months due to the nicer weather? Or does it not affect your play behavior at all?

What about spring and fall?

No difference for me at all, I grab any and all freetime to play. grin But I only play when the sun goes down so maybe that's why it doesn't effect me much.

No difference for me either. I play during my work-day downtime as well as evenings.

No difference for me either. In the summer I turn on the air conditioner and play away. Like wise in the winter I turn up the heat. Diane

I have the air conditioning on and a huge 52" ceiling fan on the ceiling going full blast during the hot months.

I play games all year round. I even have a computer in my RV so I also play on vacation. I know, that's pretty bad! lol

No difference to me either--I don't have little kids so the different seasons don't affect my free time wave

Seasons don't affect when I play; weather usually does, but even then I will prioritize what's most important. I have other hobbies and crafts that I enjoy doing as well.
When chores need to be done, I'll usually work gaming in, in between.

The weather or season don't affect when I play either.

What's affecting me now is I just got a Wii and am addicted to Guitar Hero...lol

Differing seasons means I work at different things, but I still make room sometime to relax with a game.

Nothing changes at all only when there are no certain ones available--other than that Games will be played! Seasons doesn't matter. catrub

Seasonality makes just a little bit of difference for me. During the colder months, I'm inside a lot more so I'm gaming a lot more. I also play during the nicer weather but I limit my time because I feel guilty if I don't spend sometime outside when it's gorgeous. Besides gaming, I also have a ton of books to read and have started writing again, but gaming is always in the back of my mind. Hey,I could even do a novel about it, hmmm, I'll have to think about that some more yes

Like maggie57, in the summer A/C, the winter heat, spring & fall-all doors & windows open. The only thing that gets me away from my computers is the 5minute ride across the river to the Casinos-where I play a different kind of game. I'm hooked on Video Poker.

I'm retired and so I play all the time I'm at home. The season matters not.

You've heard it before but no real difference for the seasons. My only change is adventure vs casual and I do try to work in some time for reading and cooking.

I play any time I can get the time.It could be bright and sunny out and I'm still playing my games. I work in a hospital which can get stressful, so playing games helps relieve that stress, no matter what time of year it is.

It makes no difference to me except for the time of day and perhaps the amount of time spent each day on the computer.

We have a pool so once that's open and the days get hot, I probably won't turn on the computer except early a.m. and later p.m. but I still play the games;they just last longer. smile

Rainy days.... I'm there!
