Anyone else playing the new W.M.C. I am stuck on investigation 5 with investigator Lindsay at the shipping yard. Where is the antique key? How do I open the crate? used up all my 5 hints and now really stuck. This is a great game to all those who are wondering.

Hi Margie, no I didn't find the antique key, please tell me where it is? Will it open the crate? Thanks in advance.

Hey Sherryah,

Can you send me a screenshot of the scene? That's one of the few locations that I did not save. I know it's the scene where it's blue and has some large bins in it. Here are the steps you're supposed to take for it.

PIER 50 SHIPPING WHARF

Click to reveal..
Click on the symbol on the side of the bin. A message appears at the bottom but nothing else happens.

Click on the piece of paper that is on the front of the bin, The message confirms that the bin belongs to Donald Wong.

Click on the front of the bin where you see the glimmering light.

Once you find all the items from the list, you will see a light shimmering on the right side, towards the back, under the tower.
You will get a close-up of the hook operator.

Place the key in the keyhole and the red light will come on.When you come out of the scene, you will see the hook lower on top of the bin.

Another light will be shimmering in the far right, exit the scene.

If you can send me a screenshot, I'm sure I can remember where I found it.

Thanks, Margie B

Hi Margie,
Thanks for the walkthru but it isn't helping me yet at this stage of the game. I have one key but it isn't the ancient key that I know of. I don't know what the key is for or where I got it. You are thinking of the right screen it is blue and shipping crates all over with the hook in the air.

Excuse my ignorance but how do I take a screen shot to show you with vista? Believe it or not in the 15 plus years I have had a computer I have never used the screen shot key yet. LOL and once I figure out how to do a screen shot, how do I show it to you?

Thanks for your offer to help me. Big hugs

Sherryah

Sherryah, I don't have Vista, but I imagine the procedure is the same.

Go to screen you want to capture.

Hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Mine is on the far right upper side.

Open some sort of Paint program. I use the one that came with XP and I assume one came with Vista.

Click on New

Click in the body (white screen in XP)

Paste the picture using Ctrl+V or right click and select Paste.

Then Save the picture as a Jpeg (not bitmap if you want to send it.)

The picture is now saved to your computer.

To get it on the forum, you have to place it on a picture hosting site such as Photobucket--easy to do--then you have to copy the URL to Direct Link.

Then you place that link in the post.

It sounds complicated but it really isn't.

You can email the picture directly to someone by attaching the file to an email.

thanks so much that is so sweet of you to take the time to write all of that out for me. Big hugs from Ireland! Now I will copy this down and if needed will try to do as you instructed. I am going back into the game and seeing if I can figure this out.

You better believe it, I use that skip alot when it comes to putting the forensics brown bottles in place. That is the one puzzle I hate, it started out easy and got hard for me.
Sad to say I am nearing the end of this great game. However stuck in investigation 8 in lotus orphanage at the risk of looking dumb again, I can't find the necklace, and walkthru isn't helping me on it and I am out of clues. Please tell me where do I find the necklace? I do wish the game creator would have given us a option to lighten the screen, sometimes it is helpful. I think You will love this game looney.

Yeah, my hubby jokes with me and says see, what would you do without me, you would still be stuck in that game. I agree and tell him he is famous in the Gameboomers because I always admit and give him credit for solving a puzzle that I work on for days or hours depending on the game. Yours is famous also. LOL
