I just played Still Life for the first time---- what fun- and yes I did have to peak at the walkthru or I would still be in the room crossing the floor with the robot-.....LOL.
They sure did a good job for setting it up for Still Life 2. I am glad I sat thru all the credits--- sometimes I just quit--- but they were sneaky -- added a clip at the end of all the credits.. quite fun that game was-- I am now ready for 2...

Waiting to play until now means you don't have to wait nearly as long for the sequel. lol I'm seeing November release dates for Still Life 2, but it's still early days.

yes, they did a lot of things (in my opinion) right--- just enough talking to give it a good story line-- took you to different places-- multi settings- different main characters-- good puzzles- good inventory usage-- you could double click to make them run--- good music--- liked the whole package.

I just hope the sequel tells us who the killer was.

I agree with you, the killer and to be precise this particular killer has haunted me for years. Who might that be? Hope we'll get the answer soon!

As mentioned in the past, SL 2 will reveal who the killer in SL 1 was, so finally we will get an answer, i went through many websites all discussing who the killer was, why it couldn't be that one, why it could me that one and so on. But they were all assumptions, unless you are clearly told it's up to the individual to draw his/her conclusions.

This was one of my all-time favourites. I especially loved the "Prague" aspect of the story, not to mention how much the 'Art' aspect enriched the story.
I played Post Mortem, but much preferred Still Life. (Although I hated the robot-puzzle).

I've had the same thoughts as Butcher, as to the guilty one.

Also cannot wait for the sequel.

blush I too liked the game a lot. However, I've always wondered if I'm the only one who loved the ending and doesn't necessarily want to know who the killer was? Looking back, the two threads on this site that I have always thought were the most fun were the ones discussing the endings of Still Life and Scratches. Both of them left a player wondering and somehow I thought that was just fine. duh

Although I usually don't mind open-ended endings in stories, I did find the question as to whodunnit, very tantalizing in this game, and so , very frustrating not to find out.

Be as it may, the previews of Still Life 2, does state that we will find out who the killer is, in the sequel.

Talking about open- ended endings, I rather liked the ending of Dracula: Origin, as well.

@Butcher

I saw the spoiler (couldn't resist!) and I agree perfectly with you! I don't know how to explain it but from the beginning of the game -the trailer- I had the same impression. Maybe we are wrong but who knows!

I liked the ending too. It was one more reason to play it again and see if you missed something that would betray the id of the killer. After all we all know that the killer was

I wonder why we don't trust her loved ones, but suspect them of mass murder.
What does that say about all of us?

He ate up all the cookies and didn't leave any for Victoria. Serial killers are always doing stuff like that.

her boyfriend. He's got all the links to the artworld, - he loves the previous killers' work, and even exhibited it; and besides - he just looks like a serial killer as well. wink
