Hi yall, I just went out and bought and played
the new hardy boys game.
I had not seen a review for it, so I was a little
worried.

But I really enjoyed it, to me it was alot like the Nancy
Drew Games, and better in someways,
I like the way the story and detecting flowed.
Maybe it was easier, for me, I really liked the lack of
work or chores in between,
there was only one downer for me,

the Way the guys moved, I had trouble getting the guys to
move the direction I wanted, those little Feet Icons bout
drove me crazy LOL
But other than that, I am really happy I got it, no action
and there was some REALLY fun play for a few days...
I really enjoyed the puzzles too, some were not inventory,
and they were GREAT...

One odd thing was how you could play one or other of the guys
or both, it was strange to see them always walking together,
but it worked, and was needed at times, to work with two.

anyway, didnt see a review, if I had and it was not good
I was planning on taking it back...
but glad it was GOOD smile for me anyway...
Hope you enjoy it too, if you play it..
Marcia

I agreed. It is great to have both Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys series to play now.

Only if we can get a crossover...

I was looking at this game the other day and decided to wait for a review here first. Thanks HeavenlyJoy! I'll pick it up today. smile

A crossover would be great, except that Nancy's chores would probably be cleaning up after and cooking for the Hardy boys.

I child-proofed my home... but they're still getting in!

Hi Zookeeper, hope you enjoy it , LOL Cross over sounds
great getting both together, Hardy Boys did Talk to
Nancy on this one, they had a Phone to her and few others,

I think there is alot of new games out, I have heard
those who are doing reviews are swamped with them, doing
alot, there probably will be a review of this one soon, wink

Darleen , as I remember now, there are a couple little ones,
I mean one lead me to a place I needed to get an item for
for a puzzle, and it was a tiny chore

the other chore I remember now was a puzzle, so maybe that is why I didnt remember it as a chore, it was a matching up
items and It was fun for me...

I didnt think any of them, were like a daily or repeating chore
like in Nancy Drew,

In fact I think one of the reasons I like this game is that
it seemed to flow better for me, less dead time,
I am not sure if that is because it may of been a little easier
I wonder if others will think it easier.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it when you play,

Marcia

Hi, Marcia!

I received my game on Wednesday and have been playing on and off ever since. I'm in the Theatre on Day 3 and, so far, am really enjoying it. I solved some of the puzzles through the good old "hit and miss" method, but whatever works is fine with me laugh !

I agree with your assessment. It's a fun game and I would recommend to anyone who is sitting on the fence.

Susan

the only chore I really remember was having to cook mom French Toast but that wan't to detailed so I didn't think much of it. Other than that I really enjoyed the game.

I'm glad to see positive reviews - both formal and informal - coming out for the game. I'm interested in getting a copy now but wondered if anyone knew of a retailer that is selling a legal downloadable version of the game? I like being able to go through Her Interactive to download Nancy Drew games as I can start playing in a couple of hours rather than weeks (due to shipping) but I couldn't find anything like that for this game.

Vilia -- the official word is that Hardy Boys is not currently available via digital download, and probably won't be available via download anytime soon.

I liked the game as well. I agree that the path to solving the mystery was logical. I really hope that there is another Hardy Boys mystery being developed! :witch:
