I received an email from them about their Christmas Holiday Big Sale on ALL Adventure Games = and they show
The Vampyre Story as one of their "New Releases" and the ad states 25% off on "ALL Adventure Games including New Releases"...and the flashing ad up above takes one to the same webpage as the link in my email...however when I try to BUY NOW TVS the order page is not available - what gives? Is it because TVS has not been released here yet? Then why the big push to sell AAGINR's at a lower than $29.99 price? Bummer!
Love, Betty Lou

Yes it is available BL. Just click on PC Games and then Adventure.

Why not access through the banner instead of your email also? It'd be nice for them to know their banner has been seen.

I received a coupon code for 30% off in my email earlier today and used it on Vampyre Story and it worked.

I tried both my email link and the above banner link to the order webpage and could not get it to come up - got the message "this page not available" several times then just gave up. Will try again tomorrow. And that 30% off deal is for "registered members only" - I can get 25% off without having to register as a member of The Adventure Company site....and do not have to download only my games - I want a 'hard copy' disc in my hot little hands grin

I received the advertising mail in my .nl mailaddress. And then I find out they only ship in US/Canada!
Why do they send spam to other parts of the world then? (Don't even know how they got my mailaddress). headscratch

I got the message too, thrilled til I remembered they don't like shipping to the UK. Never mind, at least someone nice we know is getting a treat.
Thank heaven for Interact, who adore shipping to the UK.

BL, click on the picture of the box and not the buy now button. You will get the order page. It happens to a lot of their links.

Their ad is misleading it says all PC adventures have been marked down to $19.99 or less, but A Vampyre Story is $29.99.

There ad is dead on accurate. It says to put the coupon code in when checking out. That is when the discount is applied.

New releases are 30% off. It hasn't even been released yet.

What does it mean "and for members only"? I have tried and tried with the banner link, get the order page and enter TODAY's coupon code and get refused! Seems some of their links just don't work! Why is it so much trouble and confusion just to order a game and use their BIG DISCOUNT? hardwall
Love, Betty Lou
EDIT = and why doesn't the price for TVS come up (today) at $19.99 instead of $29.99 = the whole thing may not be "misleading" but it sure is confusing and "I DON'T GET IT!"

Perhaps it would be best to email TAC since this is their promotion? I am sure they can straighten out any issues you may have.

Hi Bettylou, if they say ALL adventure games 19.99 shouldnt a subscriber take an additional 30% off that price too? Wouldnt a new release fall under the ALL adventure games.? And how do you become a subscriber?

I am not sure if you just register with TAC or if you have to 'subscribe' which might mean you pay a monthly fee like with (BIG FISH? do I have the name right? pay a monthly fee in order to benefit from buying download only games at a reduced price?) [life is so confusing sometimes! grin and a 'slippery' memory is such FUN!). I still have not figure out if the reduced price of $19.99 means you have to download the game or if you get a disc mailed to you of the game.

If you look right here on the left side you can subscribe. All it means is you gave them your email address and they can email you. You get special discounts otherwise not posted if you are a subscriber throughout the year.

As Ana stated - best to write to them to ask your questions.

Also - Let's wait for Becky - she is getting some clarifications.

BettyLou, Vampyre is a boxed game and you can get it 30% off because I did this morning. I would imagine they have been flooded with requests for games with all of them going on sale. The 25% has free shipping if you order $50 or more.

As Ana said I also had to click on PC games and then Adventure and then all the games showed up.

I came here to let people know that the game is included - you just have to locate it.

I've heard back from The Adventure Company. I'm not sure if this answers all questions (I'm not sure I understand the questions myself lol) but apparently the demand for A Vampyre Story with this discount has exceeded expectations, and the game is temporarily out of stock. That may be affecting what people are seeing when they order it. Stocks should be replenished any day now.

I finally figured out how to order it with the 30% off and used the banner 'link' above to get to the webkpage, BUT since I received an email from them alerting me to this bargain sale, I assume I am already a registered subscriber to their 'newsletter' yet I did not get my TVS at the $19.99 price, they charged me the $29.99 price less the 30% - too many different prices on that webpage and for their discount offer and while I could cancel my order and reorder it same as catsmom did I cannot find anywhere that I can go to to CANCEL it....somehow I don't feel they are treating everyone fairly and have made it too confusing to order and get it at the price that catsmom did. Anyone else have difficulty with this one (other than their running out of stock and TVS not showing up on their webpage then showing up again, then not, etc)?
Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou...

I can't see how Catsmom got it at that price either. I too got the email alerting me to the sale...and I am a subscriber. (If you try to resubscribe per Ana's instructions it tells you you are already subscribed.) Yet going to the site, I experience the very same thing you did...either way (email or banner ad). It indicates the game is $29.99 (not $19.99 so it doesn't appear to be included in the "all games" ad) and the best you can do is get the 30% off the $29.99...and then pay the shipping on top of that.

So I'd be very happy to learn Catsmom's secret, because it seems to me that should be the price for any subscriber.

Edit: I just emailed them to get a clarification. I'll pass on any information I receive.

Edit2: I already got a response from TAC, indicating they appreciate my bringing this to their attention and they will look into it. This has been my experience with TAC customer service...very responsive!

JK
