I wanted to buy Return to Ravenhearst. When I asked for it, it insisted that I also dnload Sherlock Holmes - The Mystery of the
Persian carpet so I did. Was charged for both games.
It gave me a free download: Alabama Smith: Escape from Pompeii.
When all was finished I had 2 icons on the desktop - one for Ravenhearst and one for Sherlock Holmes - none for Alabama Smith.
Can't find a folder that has these games so I can install them.
Does that mean I have to play while I'm online? I was hoping to burn these games to a DVD as backup in case I have a computer crash.

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Wow RAL, it sounds like something went amiss big time. I'd email BFG support. I'm sure they can straighten this out. luck

Did you check your Game Manager?

RAL,

That's really strange? Did you pay for the Persian Carpet also?
Check your program files and see if Alabama Smith is there.
It looks like Alabama is a trial download only.
What is in the Big Fish manager? There should be a list of the games you downloaded.

What shows up in your purchase history?

https://store.bigfishgames.com/my_account/my_purchase_history.php

You can't really back up the games to CD/DVD since you have to be online to download/install/activate. You do have unlimited downloads though.

Yes I paid for the Persian carpet but that's okay, I wanted it.
I thought that Alabama Smith was free but it's only good for 60 minutes.

When I ordered I entered Holiday 2008 expecting a 50% discount but was charged the full price. ($19.99 for each game)

Ana had posted about that 50% discount but I can't find that post to verify that I didn't misunderstand.

Now that I have the 2 games I hope that there are WTs for them grin

Hi Ana

Can you give me the link to the original post so that I can email the link to BigFish asking why I didn't get the discount.

Thanks

I wanted your post here at GB stating that we could get a discount but I found it. Am going to email them this asking why I didn't get my discount.

Now about my other question - are there Walkthroughs for these games.

They don't care about my post RAL, I don't work for them. lol I am certain you will not need to prove the discount code to them as it's plastered across their website.

There is a thread Here for Hints, help and a walkthrough link for Return to Ravenhearst

The walkthrough for Persian Carpet is Right here on GameBoomers.

Sent BigFish an email about not getting my 50% discount.
Received an automatic email that they won't be able to look into this for 72 hours because of the holiday season.
Will be interesting to see what they do.

Got an email from Big Fish that my purchase will be refunded by 50%. It will take 5-7 business days to appear on my credit card.
And if I understand correctly the game Sherlock - Mystery of the Persian Carpet will have to be downloaded again but they gave me a 100% code when I do this so that I will not be charged for it.
I'm going to give it a few days to see if I can play the game as already downloaded.
Must say that I'm impressed, at the moment, with the attention that they are giving this. bravo
Gee RAL there is a :santa:

I can't say enough good things about Big Fish. I had a problem with reactivating a game of theirs that I had paid for previously; they not only fixed that problem, but they sent me a coupon code for a free game of my choice, for my trouble.

Long live Big Fish!! hearts happydance

I never had a doubt that BigFish would come through. That is one of the many reasons they are my #1 choice.

I'm going to wait a few days and then get back to them.
The person who emailed me said that she would answer any and all questions.
It is the weekend after all. They sent me a code for a free game and I'm not sure I know what to do with it. I've seen a few games that might interest me.
Oh boy, now I'm going to have yet another addiction - Casual Games. slapforehead

RAL, you will be able to input that code when it comes time to pay for a game. Be careful--those casual games can be dangerous wave
