In Hints & Help, when you ask a question about a game, you usually get a full description of what to do next. Do you prefer that or would you rather get some more subtle hints to get you on the right direction?

I prefer a full description of what to do next. It helps me better understand the what and why so if I encounter a similar situation later on in the game I'll know what to do.

Reason - I only go to the forum for help if I'm completely lost and a walkthroug doesn't help.

There are posters that needs just hints or a nudge - they do specify if that is what they want.

There are posters that cannot understand the walkthrough and wants elaboration.

There are posters that are at the end of their patience and wants direct solutions.

So one gets the feel of the question given and try to answer appropriately.

Don't get me wrong MaG, it was not my intention to criticise you or others who help people here. When I'm stuck in a game, I like to get a little push in the right direction. It makes me feel like I found the solution myself in the end. I rarely use walkthroughs for the same reason. I was just wondering how others feel about this subject.
Maybe using spoiler tags more could be an option.

We do try to get a feel for what the posters want.

The whole Hints forum is a spoiler.
That is why we rarely use them except for those threads that wants only hints or nudges.

It is at Discussion forum that we need spoilers bec some gamers have not played the game.
