thank you again for your help to developers! smile i spawn new topic with new question.

can you explain, please, what you like in click management games! like farm frenzy, build a lot, sally spa and other else.

you want idea of making your business and success? you want to build "some impressive and new in this world"? you want to "reach hard target\level\challenge"? you want "non stop action"? you "hate click mgmt games - very much" smile ?

your opinion, please! this is really, really helpful! smile

Hi onezhelsky waveI myself don't like time management games (sorry)I love the match 3 games I have 4 Elements,Fishdom,Rise of Atlantis, mgmt games just seem to repeat them selves over and over! There haven't been any really good match 3's for awhile and right now I'm replaying Rise of Atlantis. wave

I may not have gone where I intended to go,but I think I have ended up where I need to be.

For the moment I'm obsessed with the mgmt games Westward 1+2+3.

What I like with this kind of management game, is that it has a Sandbox option...
Meaning I'm free to do whatever I like / when I want to plus every item has been opened to me - BEFORE I start the real gameplay.
this option gives one the possibility to try out the game without the challenges / quests and no time restraints smile

As for the controls it HAS to be click and play of course - but also good use of right clicking for moving around/interacting with items etc.

As for gameplay.
Of course it all is about building and expanding and become successfull.
Here quests/challenges etc. comes in - but maybe start with low level quests, that slowly gets harder as you progress in the game smile
It's also a good idea be able to upgrade items and buildings.

One thing I feel is missing it many of these games - is the ability to rotate the world, so we can look at it from different angles.

I don't particularly care for the games like farm frenzy and build-a-lot as they are too repetitive.

I do love the Westward series and the Virtual Villagers games because it's like you're taking care of a whole world. In games like Farm Frenzy you don't really go on quests or solve puzzles which you do in the Westward-type games.

I'd like to see similar games with more quests, puzzles and interactiion between characters. I'd like it to be challenging but not so hard that it's frustrating. Perhaps a choice of skill levels would be good, like easy, moderate and hard?

I have a lot of ideas but just can't think of them all right now.

Hi ya One

I'm not a management game player either but I love Match 3s. My favorites are Dreamsdale and Puzzle Quest. I love the extra of being able to level up and had the most fun building my valley wave

Don't like time management games much either. Do not like the dinner dash type games. Liked the first Farm Frenzy, Chocolatier and Build-a-lot games. Others that I like are Magic Farm, Grimm's Hatchery, Plant Tycoon, Fish Tycoon, and Fairy Godmother.

What I like the most about Rise of Atlantis is that there are plenty of power ups if needed, the different game boards, more then enough extra lives, when the game is over you can continue on the Journey.Puzzle Quest is one of my favorites also,I like to see more like 4 Elements type game wave

thanks, acornia! your comment is great one.

can you explain, please, difference between build a lot like games and diner dash like? it's because diner dash - are "too childish\comix like art"? or about build a lot - are more "slow and mind used" game?

Hi onezhelsky waveActually for me, playing a match 3 game is a stress reliever! If I'm playing a game I don't have to think about my real world problems at the moment crazyI don't even mind it if a game at some point gets me frustrated,I'm one who likes the timers it makes the game more challenging, what is your next game going to be like? wave

Dinner dash games are serving games so trying more to accomplish tasks before a customer loses patience. So you're trying to line up a bunch of actions/clicks so that everyone gets what is wanted before losing too many happiness points. Build-a-lot is more goal driven so get to choose how to reach that goal mostly. Need to juggle employees, services, and resources and time needed to build and get income.

I really like the Farm Frenzy series. There is a challenge to figuring out the best strategies for the objectives. Getting a gold on the really short timing is difficult. I also liked build-a-lot there was strategy in figuring out the objectives. I don't like match 3 games. I find them boring and repetitious, to each their own.

I really enjoy the Westward series and the chocolatier series, but I don't find the Chocolatier series to be that challenging. They are a very different subtype of strategy game.

Things I like: Clear objectives, winning trophies, a variety of possible successful strategies. Some challenges based on speed and others based upon longer term strategy. A reward for getting all gold on the levels.

I hate timings so close that a slight missed click makes you fail the level.

Then time management games are not for you. I personally find that a timer makes it more interesting, otherwise most games would be too easy. I'm a competitive person my nature and need a goal to beat.

Might try magic farm which is different. There's a set goal but it doesn't have to be done in one day. Get a day to collect all the flowers that you can and get rid of garden pests. At the end of the day, get to make bouquets providing got the flowers to make what is needed. Then buy new plants for the next day.

Magic Farm looks like a fun game, acornia. I saw your favorites list here on GameBoomers, and that's the reason I checked it out. It's on my future purchase list. smile
