I've been looking at the long list of free games and a very long list it is! Can anybody suggest which one to download?
My favorite games are Lost Crown, Syberia, Sherlock Holmes and Return to Mysterious Island, the tpye of game that needs logic rather than fast key movements that I am rubbish at. Subtitles would be a help but I realise I can't have everything.

Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

Hi old lady,

I recently played Mental Repairs, and enjoyed it very much. Great graphics for a free game, and the puzzles and storyline are excellent.

If you like mystery games, you might want to try Casebook: The Missing Urn.

I liked Flight of the Amazon Queen, which was originally a commercial game later released as freeware.
Also liked Five Magical Amulets, a fantasy story that was fun.

To love is to be happy with!

Hello old lady.

Here are other games you can try:

The Oracle
The Mystery of Castle Wildenburg
Atlantzone
Dirty Split

Did you retry to download Mental Repair?

I tried the Flight of the Amazon Queen for a few minutes and was able to play from were I was. Sorry that I can't tell what happened. I got this game in Program Files and the saves I did are there.

Have fun with the free games. yay

old lady, if you're using XP then Mental Repairs would have installed to: C:\Games\MentalRepairsInc. There's a green icon in that folder labelled "MentalRepairsInc" which you should double click on to load up the game. Create a shortcut for your desktop for convenience. luck

Hi folks, just a quick up-date in return for your help.
Flight of the Amazon Queen - a real blast from the past, great fun I loved every minute. Grade A
Mental Repair, also very good again a grade A
Dirty Split very good but heavy on dialoge so B
Sadly The Oracule crashed when I tried to save but it seemed good and I will reload as there appears to be a patch for the game.
Once again thanks

Is there any way to tell ahead of time which of the "free" games will work on Vista?

Richard, see your PM please.

ruthie, I do not know the answer to your question. But since many of the games posted at Free Games Galore do load quite fast, I guess you will have to try and see.
Good luck.
