Man, it's been a while since I posted here. Nice to see everyone is still around. smile

Well I'm stuck at Still Life 2... Right after the "Press here" puzzle my last objective is to get the collar off me and I have no idea how. I have this key that I took from the hand and I have no idea whats it for... Help frown

There's a metal something at base of the power box in the electric chair room. You use that on the hole at bottom part of the collar.

Click to reveal..
Look at the number clue on the wall beside the bed. That is the number of clicks per hole.

Hi mag, thanks for helping. smile

Well I found a light bulb from that power box but when I try to use that with the holes on the collar she still refuses. Any ideas?

It's at the base-bottom of the power box - it's a metal or iron thread. Maybe you ahve it in your inventory already.

Nope... didn't get any metal thingie from there. The only thing i did with that fuse box was to pull the switch for the chair and I got the light bulb. I can't find anything else that's clickable.

Argh... I hate when stuff like this happen.

It's bottom left of the lever-switch.

I'm editing and doing pictures:

You can check here if you want: walkthrough.

The manual can be take during an internet search when you have accessed the computer.

Ok seriously, I give up. Mag, do you happen to have a save game as soon as you call Claire and before you talk to Hawk for help with the computer? Because it's triggered only after you've done a lot of stuff, and I did all them but still can't call Claire or talk to Hawks.

Any save game would be great at this point, cuz I'm stuck at this part all day long. If Mag or anyone else has a save, please email me. frown

sinotek,

Try first to use the computer in the lab and fail to get in because you don't know the password.
Ask Garris if he can help - he will say an IT can do that.
Then call Claire to get info about Hawker.
Then argue with Hawker.

Right now my saves are helter skelter. They are jump here and there and I don't know which one will help you.

Ah I see. And I did try that. I asked Garry and he says that only IT guy can help with that. Still can't call Claire. Still can't talk to Hawker.. frown

Sigh... I hate these kind of games that work with this "trigger" system. U can miss something so small that can stall you for hours and hours.

As I remember you should be able to press the space bar? to get an idea where the hotspots are in this game?

Adventure gaming is fun smile

Karsten,

There is no feature like that on this game.
Space bar skips dialogues and intro (maybe some cutscenes).

sinotek,
Check the walkthrough and see what you might have missed.

Sinotek, you need all the evidence you can find in the house and have to analyse them (at that point 42 items). Don't forget to read Walker's file and talk with Claire about it.

I sent you 2 saved games - see if any of those helps. I looked at any with Hawker's picture.

First of all thanks Mag. I appriciate you're effort to help me out.
The files that you sent me are just the jpg files. A save game has a .jpg file and .sav file. So if you can, send me the .sav files as well. Thanks a lot! smile

Not all my saves have text files. I think the ones with text files are the autosaves and that the info is embedded in the picture file. Try them and see. Keep us posted.

K I checked and turns out it has to have the .sav file. The JPG is just the save picture that you see. It did strike me a bit odd that a JPG would be used as a save file because it doesn't contain any data other then visuals.

I even did a little test. I took a random .sav file that I had from another save game, changed it's number so it'll fit your saves. It showed the picture of the saves you sent me but once loaded, it loaded to the position the save was taken on (My save file that I took for this test).

So yeah, it needs these .sav files ^^

Other games do use only the embedded data in a picture file.

Anyhow - I don't have 75 or 76 .sav file - so I sent you the closest numebr .78. See what you can do with it.

Yeah - that's the file given to you by Garris at start of chapter and mentioned by Bernard on the post above.
