I really dont find this game any longer or shorter than any other game except for the Longest Journey.

Your post is exactly what I found Catsmon.

I also agree that TLJ was a very long game but I also found that Sherlock Holmes Nemesis was extremely long.
Apart from all visits to Baker Street and some quite tough puzzles, you had to spend a very long pretty authentic time at the National Gallery, then The Tower of London, and then shorter but appreciable times at Buckingham Palace and The British Museum
For me anyhow SH:N was also a long game.
Im sure there are more very long games - often long for different reasons.
For sure sf-2 is not one of these very long ones, but my impression is not the opposite, but very average-medium length imho - as ive mentioned before more than once. wave thumbsup bravo lol

I think we pretty much have the point by now. No one needs to prove anything, we all have different playing styles and we all have differing opinions on what is long, adequate or short. If we all looked at things the same way, the world would be boring.

Perhaps it's a good time to just agree to disagree.

Game time really is a subjective thing, an experienced gamer might use 10 hours or less for this game while a beginner might use twice the amountof time. I certainly used maybe 4-6 hours for the demo, when I played thay; an experienced adventure gamer might use 2-3 hours playing the demo...

On a more general note, I don't think there is any need to quarrel about a game's length....

Adventure gaming is fun smile

I've just got the game & find the varying opinions on the length of it quite informative. I'm always disappointed if a game is 'too short' without any prior warning. I'm looking forward to playing it & how little or long a time it's going to take me! lol

For those who think that 10-20-hour game is short I suggest sticking to MMORPGs. What matters is quality time and how did you spent those 10-20 hours. I can play 100 hours Might and Magic VII but I still prefer 10 hours of Still Life or Myst 4. Did you know that some people finished Half Life and Resident Evil in less than an hour? Those two games are regarded as one of the best sellers of all time and highly acclaimed by most of the gamers.

TLJ and Black Dahlia are the longest adventure games I know of while shortest would be Nibiru or Myst. Both Secret Files games are between them.

I have no idea about my final time because I didn't finish the game but I have a habit of leaving game running on while I go to the bathroom or have something to eat. I sometimes even forget that computer was on and go to sleep.

Very nice reference to the classic John Cleese Dead Parrot routine.

Took me 25 hours to finish with only one peek at the solution to the final puzzle. This is a medium length game in my book. Used the hotspot revealer frequently.

There's some humour. Graphics and cut scenes are good. Animations are very good. Story is pure hokum but keeps up the interest throughout. Puzzles are well clued and not difficult. There are a lot of them! Had no glitches, spotted no bugs. Worth playing in my opinion.

It's a good solid game, but not a superb one.

Sorry, Harhan and Boomerang, but I have to concur with those that say the game is short. devil However, it was highly entertaining and my favorite game so far this year, if this counts for anything. thumbsup

Yes, the story is quite silly, but it's a lot of fun and was wrapped up nicely. No cliffhangers for those who are concerned about such things. The graphics are beautiful, and though she isn't perfect, I prefer the timbre of the new Nina's voice to the original. (The original did grow on me after a while, though. wink )

My certificate says my game lasted almost ten hours. I do admit to being impatient at times and using the walkthrough . . . um . . . a little bit, so this may have been a factor. grin

All in all, I really enjoyed it, and I'm very much looking forward to their next game! thumbsup

Oh boy, I'm playing this game because I liked the idea of it being "short" but it is something else again. For one thing, I liked Nina so much that I didn't use the walkthrough (just the in-game hints) and it took me a long time to solve some of the puzzles and then often by accident so I had fun solving them. I am now in the jungle with Max and enjoying playing him as much as I did Nina, so again I'm working things out the hard way. So I'm thinking this is going to be quite a challenging and LONG game for me. But I'm in no hurry to finish, having too much fun.

I really enjoyed playing this game, so went to Hints rather than the walkthrough. I just finished it and I'm sad because I'm missing Max and Nina already. It was a great game! The certificate had me clocked at 2127 minutes, which is over 35 hours so certainly not short for me. By the way, the certificate didn't count the minutes I played the game in my head when I wasn't at the computer. That counts in enjoying the game, I think. And now for the replay in my head before some other game takes over!

I just had to post this:

Back to the original topic, i doubt that the Wii version or any other version has any difference with PC or X360. I only saw that in a game once and that was Splinter Cell Double Agent but in that case one version was made by the same developer but in different countries. One was in Canada and the other in China so the games had differences. (X360 vs PC in that case).
