Does one have to have DOSBox installed on your computer to play these older games or is the config already done to allow you to play w/o your doing the configuration. I would like to play Indy Jones fate Of Atlantis but do not want to download it only to find that I have to use DOSBox.

I assume it uses a auto configured dosbox, no user config required. Bit like when them re-released sierra packs came out.

No need for DosBox or ScummVM.
It appears they have fiddled with the engine to make them playable on todays window.

You can play it in ScummVM. It is much easier than DOSBox, everything is preconfigured in a profile. Just point to your CD-ROM or game directory.

Thanks, Skeeter.

That's great. I love to replay those games.

I remember that I really liked both of the Indiana Jones games and The Dig. Loom was beautiful graphically. At the time of it's release I remember thinking the graphics were amazing. Thanks for posting the link.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Anyone had trouble purchasing from Steam?
I have tried to use two credit cards, both get declined, as does PaylPal. I contact support and I get an email saying they need some more details. Perhaps fair enough, but PayPal shouldn't be stopped by Steam should it?
Or am I being paranoid eek

I just purchased a game through Steam today with PayPal and had no problems. Perhaps the site is overwhelmed today with everyone getting the new monkey island game.

I just used a credit card with no problem. Are you still having trouble, flotsam?

EDIT: Is there a chance the game you were trying to buy is blocked because you're in Australia? frown

I got it - who knows what the problem was.
Dumb question, but how do you save your place in these games? Started Indiana, but cannot work it out. Quitting doesn't just bring you back to where you were.

In the old LucasArt games you got to the menu with either F1 or F5.

Does that not work with this "steamed" version ??

I should probably figure this out on my own, but are manuals available for games downloaded from Steam?

On the right, View Manual.

Same with other games.
