Anyone know the name of the first HOG and how long ago it was released?

The I Spy PC Games were the very first in 2001. They were based on the books by the same name.

Well if we're talking before computer games then I'd say the Highlights magazine had the first with their Hidden Pictures page. I still love to go through those in doctor or dentist waiting rooms. smile

I child-proofed my home... but they're still getting in!

I still like those too! I actually bought the 2008 edition with just the pictures in it. lol

Those came out in the 40's followed by I spy in the 50's. I bet they never realized how it could take off from there!

I loved Highlights as a kid and then doing it with my kids in the doctor's office. My daughter especially loved the "Where's Waldo" and ones that copied that craze when she was in elementary school probably during the mid 1990's. We had many "find it" books during that time. When the HOG's starting coming out more recently as PC games, the first thing I thought of was Highlights and how much fun I had. And now the ones that are like an adventure type and making things out of the objects that you find, can't get any better for me!
