I'm just curious if anyone here has played the game? Any thoughts or opinions for someone about to play it?

I picked up a copy today for 89 cents (Canadian). I like World War 2 games and I like adventure games, so I grabbed it off the shelf of an EB Games.

By my count, the price has been adjusted three times (three stickers on it) so it wasn't selling.

I'm not expecting perfection, but for the price, I didn't have much to lose.

Hi, Yes I played it a few years ago when it came out, I don't have any negative memories of it but then again I had to look at the w/t to remember it, it's certainly worth your money and if you enjoy adventure games I'm sure you will like it. luck

I searched the forums first, but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks for the links. I'm assuming they aren't linked on the forums anywhere?

I have played it and like it very much.

It comes up for me Templeton. You need to go back and change the search feature to go back 3 years.

Pretty average game. Dull characters, forgettable story, mediocre voice-acting. The scenery is mostly boring (but pretty) until the end of the game when the view becomes both interesting and sad.
There are some cool invetory puzzles, but also frustrating mechanical puzzles. There's an unskippable stealth part early into the game. I think there's a dead-end near the end of the game but I'm not sure. There's a timed puzzle near the end but it is easy and satisfying to solve (this is also where the dead-end may be). The end puzzle is also timed, but is one that can be solved with a walkthrough.

The main problem is that the game is very buggy. It crashed constantly on XP (worked fine on Vista, though).

IMHO, if you like the nerdy hero, you tend to like the game. If you think the nerdy hero lacks character, you tend not to like the game.

I happened to like the hero, but I know others who felt the opposite.

Well, I liked the nerdy hero, but I didn't love the game. It was okay; I liked it well enough, but I was disappointed that

Click to reveal..
everyone he was working with was ultimately against him in the end.

Still, I loved some of John's amusing comments and descriptions of inventory items. "A metal ruler. Hard and cruel." It was worth playing through just to hear his commentary. lol

Thank you. I didn't quite go back that far. I find quite a few forums usually just delete anything older than a year or two, so I don't always search so far back.
