Still working on this analysising I even went as far as going back to where Poloma is in the room and trying to get out. I got all the other things analysised but, I still can't get the answering machine or the laptop. Is it possible to just get a SAVE any where I'll take it just to move on. Thanks

Thanks I'm Listening

Karen,

Check and learn the kit - you will be using it the whole game.

I sent you a saved game. I think (not sure) that this is the start of Paloma's part - when she woke up.

I hate to bring this up again with this analyzer stuff but, I still can't get the recording, and the laptop to complete analyese. MaG I got your save but, I couldn't open it cause of the zip. What I did was go to almost the very beginning of the game on one of my earlyer saves. When I came to the part of the investagation of Poloma's room I was very careful to read every part in the analyzer and the WT. With the field kit I have the two recordings on the monitor the top one is o% and the second says 100% when I go and press the orange button is says its analyzing and then it reads "Analyzer failure data incomplete or incompletabe". This also with the laptop. I had no problem with the rest of the things. It only seems to be happening with just the orange button. Has anyone else had or has this problem. I'm afraid I will not beable to finish this game for I'm at a stand still. If any one has any ideas on this please let me know what can be done to solve this problem... I really appreciate this I've been on this part for 3 days and nothing seems to work. If I can get another save past all this it will help. I can't open zip files.

Thanks for listening....

Thanks I'm Listening

To unzip the folder, download it to desktop.
Right click it and select 'extract all'.
You will see then unzipped folder.
Open that and see another folder.
Open that and see the files I sent.
Those are the one you need to place to your saved game folder.

As for the analyzers, some samples cannot be completely analyzed or another test need to be done on them.

In the case of the:

Laptop - Check the broken laptop on the floor in front of the TV.
step 1.Use the computer key on broken laptop. Select broken laptop and press the orange computer analysis button.
step 2. Click the computer icon on the monitor, 'open' and read Paloma's notes on the Killer's case.

For the answering machine:
step 1. Open smartphone, documents and read the file on the Killer's case and the profile. Now you have data on the killer so you can ID the voice.
step 2: Go to right side table and click on the answering machine. Hear the Killer's message to Vic. Use the smartphone cursor on the machine or phone.
step 3: In inventory, select the field kit. Check the smartphone left of the field kit. Click on the recorded voice of the killer. Select voice icon on the field kit and press the orange computer analysis icon. It is the altered voice of the killer.

Ok, I was intent to get through this one without a walkthrough until I ran into a wall. And no wonder, I seem to have done everything possible, but there is no hotspot for the mask in the closet. I've talked to Hawker on the phone, tried the possible passwords for Truth, read the printout, but all I can do now is look at the costume hanging in the blue closet. It looks like the mask is to the right of it, but I've scoured the closet without my cursor turning up the mask or the password behind it.

The only thing I missed is that I only neutralized two mines. I can't get the metal detector because it is in the kitchen cabinet with Hawker prowling in there. Vic can walk all over the mine area without blowing up though.

I don't think the mines puzzle is related to this.
I think it is connected by what Hawker and you talked about.

I am not sure but open the door left of that cabinet using Karson's key.
Then come back in and open that cabinet again and see if you can find the hotspot or click randomly on where the cursor is seen in the picture below (it's so dark there):

See if that works. luck

I had already used the keycard to reopen the door. But I reentered like you said, came back, clicked all over the area your cursor is located in, yet still nothing. And Harker won't answer his phone.

Have you checked the printer to see if there is anything written there. You can't take it -just read it.

I have a save game after the password is obtained. Do you want it?

Yes, I checked the printer and read the printout, received a call, tried all three available passwords. I will go back and try clicking around in the closet one last time, but you can send me the save in case I can't proceed. Should I be finding a visible hotspot here, or do you just have to luck out be clicking on the precise area?

Now this game is getting frustrating. I've listened to Paloma behind the glass, looked at Hawker on the computer camera and seen him with the tracking device, put the tracking device in my inventory, entered Hawker's room and walked around where possible, but when I get to the fan there is no working hot spot on the fan switch and no way to exit the screen. I can see the fan moving, but otherwise everything appears locked up. I've also tried planting the tracking device first and then going to the fan, but the result is the same.

There should be a hotswitch to the left. spot on the fan.
Click on the fan and she might say something about making noise to cover her sounds or something like than.
Then try the fan switch.

There was a definite glitch in the game. I tried turning the texture quality to low, turned off shadows and anti-aliasing, then went back and tried again, and this time there was a visible hotspot on the fan switch, so I am now past this point. I went back and tried the closet with the same lower quality settings to see if that was the issue there too, but it wasn't. Anyway, thanks for your help once again, MaG.

Glad you got through.
Be sure to save the game before the entering the room where Paloma is held.

Thanks for the heads-up. I finished the game. I loved the game outside of those two problems. But they should allow for multiple tries at the ending and give more time for the timed sequences.

If you fail: There is no second chance as Hawker stated. Old saved games can be played up to the part of entering Paloma's room but there is no scene to replay; just the cutscene of the electrocution of Paloma.

Go to main menu and see a red question mark. Click the question mark and is given a second chance.

Using your keyboard, enter a password to get another try in rescuing Paloma. The password is the killer's obsession: veronicalake. Click OK.

Oh sorry, I knew that. I just meant you shouldn't have to go through any such rigamarole to get another chance in these games, especially when the procedure to do so isn't obvious!
