Wrong topic, but what the heck, talk to the new owner, look left and press the space bar to reveal where the book is.

Hi, Geri!

Did Sherlock say "Elementary!" after you placed all of the date cards in their correct positions to let you know that they were correct? If so, look in the right section of the book shelves for the perfume book. If you're having trouble locating it, press your space bar and the hand will appear.

Good luck!

Susan

I am a the part at Holmes work table and I am trying to de-code the "Mysterious Message". I have followed Meg's walkthrough but the red line will not appear at the bottom of the message so I cannot fill in the letters

Hi Geri,

I merged your two threads for this game.

Have you placed the two documents from the Spartaca Encyclopaedia as proof? Check they are the correct documents - they have a particular ornate lettering. Then the letters should appear for you to solve the puzzle. luck
