For those who've forgotten (or never knew), HOG=Hidden Object Game

Of all the HOG's I've played, I think the game where I had the worst trouble finding objects was with Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile.
A runner up would be Jewel Quest Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear.
Legend of Sleepy Hollow was pretty bad too -- mostly because the screens were so dark and mostly monochromatic.

Which games did you have the hardest time with?

So far, I'd agree with Sleepy Hollow for exactly the reason you mention. Some screens like the Swamp were particularly hard because the whole place was so misty and dark.

I've never played the game myself, but when this topic comes up on the Big Fish Games forums, Hidden Mysteries Civil War is almost always mentioned as one of the notorious offenders.

I also seem to remember you mentioning Nightshift Legacy Jaguar's Eye, Jenny, as being a serious pain, at least with some screens. And I remember your posting a screenshot where you were having trouble. I don't know if the entire game was like this or not, though.

I remember Jaguar's Eye now. No the whole game wasn't equally difficult, but it certainly had some rough spots and deserves a mention.

I have played Hidden Mysteries: Civil War, but didn't have as much trouble with it as with the others I mentioned. There were a few screens that were pretty difficult though.

Magicians Handbook-Cursed Valley without a doubt was the hardest for me. Remember trying to find the Runes at the end of the game???

I haven't played very many of them yet but so far, Ghost Town Mysteries: Bodie was the worst. I searched so hard in some of those rooms that I thought my eyeballs were going to burst into flames. I had to use the little hints option a couple of times or I don't know how I would have found some of those things. They say they were hidden. I say they were non-existent. lol

I haven't played the first Magician's Handbook, but I have played the second one, and that game certainly deserves a mention here.

I agree with all of your posts. I do need to add a new one - I did the demo today for Frankenstein the Dismembered Bride and I thought is was tough to see a lot of the objects.

I thought Madame Fate, was the hardest ...game ever!!!!! I really thought about just packing the HOG game away! ... If anyone out there thought this was a kewl game... forget it .... it is truly an irritating, I do not reccommend this game to anyone who is starting HOG games .. I mean it! this game will scare the bejeebees out of a newcomer PLease pass over it! start with a cutie detective like Samatha swift ... Personally its enjoyable!!!!!

I agree about Hidden Mysteries Civil War. The objects were hard to find. Madame Fate's voice got very much on my nerves. I didn't like it very much either.

Madame Fate is a fantastic HOG and I love it. The puzzles are very challenging, sometime maddening. hardwall Now, doing a straight hog is a bit boring to me. I can't wait for MCF #6 to come out.

Civil Wars drove me crazy because the objects are just so tiny. I never finished it, I will someday.

Love the Halloween SPIDER, Darleen. Cute.
bravo
I agree Smitty... Madame Fate was a great game and I usually have problems seeing the items but they weren't too awfully difficult. I used hints on some areas. The hardest scene for me was the midway with the ticket booth and merry-go-round in the background.

I found one that was difficult for me (but not impossible) was an underwater one but I can't remember the name. With the cloudy water and dark areas... it was tough. I recall using a lot of hints.

I felt Escape the Museum was a bit hard to see the items...loved the game but gosh was really really hard to see some of the stuff...Madam Fate was hard to see for me too-sometimes because in fuzzy shadow but mostly because the areas just so crammed with objects! I played Magic Academy 2 this weekend and loved it! much better than the first one!

Civil War was tough and the best yet. I hate those that are easy to find and don't test you at all. My 10 year old granddaughter likes the easier ones so perhaps they are aimed at that age group?

I don't like the ones with JUST hidden objects -- like Pure Hidden, Fabulous Finds (I think) and probably this new one, Little Things. There are just too many objects to look through, and that makes it harder for me to find the correct ones.
