Just a little warning.

I was doing a puzzle, and not too sure about what to do, so I clicked for a hint, thinking it would show me a step, and it solved the puzzle.

So, when doing a puzzle, don't click hint if you don't want it solved.

I just bought it, the only thing I hope is there won't be too much mechanical stuff to put together. I had to use a hint to solve some parts of putting machine together. Thats just not my cup of tea. Also I didn't realize until after I bought it that the voices are not all the way through the game, just random places. Oh well still looks like a fun game.

I played only a demo and didn't enjoy it much, too many mechanical puzzles and much less the HO scenes. May be this is only at the beginning of the game and farther on it 'll be different...I'd like to hear from some of you who has already played a significant part of the game. I'm waiting for my credit to come up in 2 days and have to decide if I'll buy it.

Thanks for the warning. They should make it clear what's going to happen if you click a "Hint" if it's actually more than a hint. I've seen some games that rename the Hint button to "Solve Puzzle" for the duration of the puzzle, which at least lets you know what's going to happen. Personally I don't want a puzzle automatically solved for me unless it's one of those annoying arcade things like "whack-a-mole" clones and shooting galleries.

I enjoyed the rest of the "Hidden Expedition" series so I expect I'll enjoy this one too.

I haven't played an ihog in a while, and didn't realize that they had improved so much. This is a really fun game so far.

At the beginning of the game they do let you know that clinking on hint will solve the puzzle. smile

Maybe, but it's better to have a button that clearly says "Puzzle Solve" when that's what it does. Some of us have 6 or more hidden object games going at once, and we can't remember what instruction goes with which game.

I agree, Jenny. And, now that I think of it, I only noticed it at the beginning where it stated the hint button would solve the puzzle because it was posted here first. I would have missed it otherwise. smile

Just finished this game I love alot of things about it but, it seemed to me to be alot shorter than the previous ones and I think the others really made you really work to move along in the story. Yes I agree that the hints button is not just hints but solves the puzzle which I rather just have a hint not solve it for me. Where is the challange in that.

I too thought the game short in comparison - however it is still a very good game and I enjoyed this style of gameplay more than the previous ones.
Graphics are excellent in this game.
