I think I posted on this subject before, but can't find it by searching. I have tried this game at least 5 times and keep getting stuck in the spare room looking for the red shoe polish. I've seen the w/t, have clicked everywhere and still can't get past this point. (have found everything else). Does anybody have a circled picture of it? Thank you!

Laurette, can you post a link to a picture here so we can help you look?

Edit: According the GB WT, the red shoe polish is in the Storeroom and there is a picture with an X on the spot.

looney4labs: That's the w/t I'm talking about. I found everything except the shoe polish. I've clicked everywhere. That's why I was requesting someone circle (if possible) the polish on that picture. I just can't find it. Thanks.

Laurette, the WT on Gamezebo says "the third shelf of the bookcase."

It is marked on the picture Here.

My pleasure--the folks who deserve all the credit are the ones who write the walkthroughs luck

Laurett,

I have read messages from people who have played this game but I haven't been able to find it. Whenever I search for it, I get every SH game but this one. Where can I get it?

Thanks,

The game is available as a download from BFG - that is where I got it.

So many games, so little time.

Thanks! I will try the demo and see what I think. I prefer to have a hard copy of games and I haven't joined BFG because I don't want to pay a monthly fee for games. I don't get through them that quickly. I know that everyone raves about BFG and I may join in the future. I also like it that we can play a game for an hour to see if we like it. If I do end up buying a game after playing it, is my progress saved and carried over to the download? I would assume so but just wondered.

One question: I read on BFG that each month you get one credit that can then be used to buy games. How many credits does it take to purchase a game?

gatsybygirl, all games are 6.99 on BF. You do not need to be a member. When you check out just click the cancel membership button and you will not be bothered again.

I thought I could finish this game, but maybe not. Am at the part where you connect the suspects with evidence. Have gotten 30 of 31 and can't find the last one. I've not even gotten to the room with the pearls yet. I can't make a connection with the book, money, feathers, latest cigar ashes and a couple of others. I'm playing the easiest way. I, naturally, found all hidden objects so far and can't do anything more. Hope someone can help? Thanks.

Thanks for the info! I wondered if 1 credit would buy a large file game or only the short ones and you answered my question. Sounds like BFG is a good deal.

Laurette,

Are you talking about the deduction board? If so, you can proceed with the game and do the deduction later in the game.

I didn't know that. How do I get out of the deduction board without finishing it? Thanks.

At top left of the screen is the menu frame.
You can click on the main menu or the different places: Baker St(deduction), Map (other places for puzzles) and the desk at the police station.
Click on any of those pictures at top left.

MaG: When I go to the menu frame, the only choices I have are "puzzles," "pause," and the quit, play menu. Don't see any pictures.

Here's a picture but it will spoil it for you because it is the deduction page solution.

See the frame at top left.
See the 3 pictures above the word Main menu.
Click on the map or the desk. See what happens.

I don't have those icons in my game.
