Within the options of this game there are two choices; Easy or Hard

What are the main differences in these options?

Also,is hsrd utilised when the X is lighted up or is it the other way around?

I did not play on easy but I think you will get once in a while - help or pop ups on easy.

Yes - if the hard is lit - then you are playing hard mode.

Oh thanx,

I'm playing on hard also. So,the puzzles themselves aren't actually more difficult on Hard? It's just the hints popping up if you play Easy? Is that right?

I don't think it's any harder - I think they're the same.

The text messages might be the help mentioned for both easy and hard. It does guide you on hard.

Michael,
to echo MaG the puzzles aren't more difficult, but there are a couple of differences.
The scissors, which you get to use in a few locations, break more easily on hard.
As well as that, you get longer to solve the time-limited sequences on easy.

I feel that something is wrong whilst I am engaged in game.

I'm just wandering around. I need help

I have not found any scissors.

I've been able to open the Buffet Area; I don't know what else I can do in this game,,,,All you see is this dice/craps shaker and a lot of bones to shake. What is the purpose of shaking bones like you do in a casino? I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I went into the Ladies Loo and looked into a filthy toilet. I don't understand what there is to do here...Do you see what I'm saying?

-----------

Is there someone who can help me?

You won't find any scissors in these areas, Michael, you'll find them later in the game.

Inside the buffet area, just inside the door look to your left. You'll see a dummy pointing upwards, so look up and see what he's pointing at.

Did you manage to get inside the stationmaster's locked office yet (in the depot)?

The bones & shaker is a sound puzzle, you'll need other equipment first to be able to solve this.

Michael--I believe the 2 coordinates are on a metal plate directly below the telescope. I'm working on this part of the game right now.

I see the device underneath the telescope.
This is the device in which you enter the correct coordinates in.

This device is not telling you what those coordinates are.

I remember seeing that earlier in one of these rooms

The walkthrough said they were in 2E

I went back

I could not find them in 2E

Which walkthrough are you using?
The GB wt does not say that the coordinates are in 2E.

What Tomco posted is correct. Check it in 2010.

Michael--I just finished this section of the game. I found the coordinates on the metal plate--they were 1 and 6. Hope this helps.

Tomco,

The coordinates are random. That might not be the number for Michael's game.

Thanks for your help though.

Hi MaG--I just downloaded this game to another computer. If you don't have a save for this part I can redo this part and maybe I can help Michael through this part.

It is on the base on top of the tripod - just below where the telescope is attached.
It has an active spot.

Thanks, Tomco.

Hi Michael--I hope you have MaG's walkthrough. See page 25--Suitcase area---Take telescope and place on stand. You are in the year 1947. Walk down the hall and you will be in the year 2010. Go back to where the telescope is and you will notice that it is rusty. Look at the metal plate and you will notice the 2 coordinates. Does this help?

I've figured all that out

Now I have a far worse problem:

I copied all the constellation symbols exactly as they are;

Despite this I am constantly wrong over and over

I need help

The symbols I copied do not match

I put them in the machine

He claims they are not right
They are continuously wrong over and over

Michael---When you are looking through the telescope, the little stars should be classified in the same way as the large stars and they should match up with your diagram of the constellation. For example, I drew up a constellation showing 7 stars and when I looked through the telescope I found a constellation with 5 regular stars and 2 small stars but it was the same pattern and it was correct. Does this help?

I thank you

I still have a problem

Now I've completed the game but something is badly wrong;

I've tried telling Amy I would stay.

Click to reveal..
That ending surely must be the bad ending.

Inspector get's eaten alive by something and goes out in a cloud of darkness.

The other way I told Amy she must stay.

I got to the door in PLENTY of time and unlocked it with the lockpicks.

Click to reveal..
However,it appears Inspector dies off here as well.

You see the Hospital Light and hear them speaking about reviving him.

There's no indication he survives the game either choice.

So what was done incorrectly?

I very much need to know.

I added spoiler tags to your post, Michael. Anyone currently playing the game and reading this thread for hints might not want to know the ending details.

I didn't play both endings, but it's likely that you did nothing incorrectly and that's just how the game plays out.

There's something that doesn't seem right

Did anyone here get an ending considered the "good" ending?
