I was on another site and they are releasing the new Mortimer Beckett on the 20th of Jan. Hope Big Fish gets it soon, or will they get it?

They will not be getting it Doreen. It is also going to be a special edition for 19.99.

I was emailed today by Paprikari, the download for the Lost King. I receive their newsletter.
Am I allowed to post the link for everyone?

You can download direct from the Developer (Paprikari) here. It's always a great way to ensure the developer gets all the proceeds.

Well, I just finished the 1st & 2nd chapter. Sorry to say I was let down hard. So far they made just an IHOG. I waited all this time, anticipating the unusual game play of finding PIECES ,instead of whole objects, what made M.Beckett so popular in the first place,IMHO. Have to wait until tomorrow to begin chapter 3, I hope they go back to the original way.

Yup, it's a regular IHOG. Doesn't feel like Mortimer.

I remember back in 2007, when we were all waiting for MB2 to be released, I e-mailed the programmers & to my surprise redcv'd an email within 1/2 hour from Duke. He told me that there were only 2 people making that game ( a programmer & an artist) ,that's why it took so long for each release. But to abandon the most popular format at that time- I don't understand- you would think they'd keep it up until it didn't work anymore. Oh well, that's why I can only play the fantastic games that are offered & not program them. The artistry has gotten better, but I want my old Mortimer back.

I also was a bit saddened with the change in Mortimer Lost King game. However, I find it quite enjoyable even with the changes. I am also satisfied it will be worth the price.

yes...I agree. I was totally let down and very disappointed. All the hype....you would of thought we would have gotten a GREAT Mortimer, but instead just a good IHOG and an easy one at that. The old Mortimer's made you work but that was part of the enjoyment. This one I found too easy. Not saying easy is bad, because it's not in some instances, but it just doesn't feel like Mortimer to me. Hmmmmmm.......

Has anybody solved the differences in the hall of mirrors? Really hard and with a timer. I think it was chapter 3

Took a break on ch 6. I didn't want to finish it all in one day. A lot of people on the forums are complaining that they didn't get the strategy that was supposed to come with it. I didn't either. How about you?

I have managed to get to ch 6 without one. I must admit I have used quite a few hints though. The complaint on the forums was because the price of the game as a collector's edition was supposed to include the stategy guide and it didn't.

Is it labeled Collector's Edition?
Only one site has an exclusive Collector's Edition for this week. They call it 'Premier Edition'.

I had to use the hints quite a bit. Never needed a WT.

Yes MaG, you are correct. It is called Premier Edition, but no strategy guide as was stated. I personally don't mind, but after paying $19.99, a lot of people do.

Move the paintings to see a painting with a picture of a man spinning a globe. Look at the books and see what order they are in.
