Hmmm, have you played either of the Secret Files games? There's Secret Files: Tunguska, and its sequel Secret Files: Puritas Cordis. They're two of the more recent ones that I can think of right now.

Hi SkeeterUK, When I read the topic the first thing that I thought of was exactly what Rushes suggested.
It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Hmm, I seem to remember that the Chronicles of Mystery games, The Scorpio Ritual & The Tree of Life, reminded me of the Syberia games. Female protagonist, lots of different lush locations, entertaining but not too diffucult. Other than those 2, kinda drawing a blank...

Which games have you already played, Skeeter? The ***Latest and Upcoming*** games page lists a few, though other than Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island, the Telltale games, and the City Interactive games there isn't much in the way of "quest adventures." If you're OK with download versions, there's Simon the Sorcerer 5 and Runaway 3. Upcoming games are The Whispered World, Black Mirror 2, and Gray Matter. Alas, The Book of Unwritten Tales doesn't seem to be in the works any more.

Played most of the good ones like the longest journey, syberia, secret files, gabriel knight 3 (tho less of the templars as too many games has that [blip] in nowadays) monkey islands, space quest, etc. Just wanting some of the same from them games.
I would prefer:
Voiced decently modern gfx i.e not before 2005 or so. Has to have a adventure not just explore some rooms in a house or some boring thing like that i want to be taken to new places meet exciting characters, have a start middle and a end.
Basically anything like tlj (not *** dreamfall) or syberia or secret files.
Prefer somit realistic and not really fantasy, tho i.e somit believeable and gfx look like a believable world now or in the future. I dont wana see monsters or aliens or cartoon gfx. Gfx such as tlj, syberia, secret files type im after.
Tried sinking island, its a bit boring tho gfx were nice. Also tried treasure island, was alrite but it doesnt make me want to play. I got up to meeting some pirate and asked to get the crew. Think i got bored of it when trying the cool 3d vision glasses with my nvidia card (looked mint).

How about 80 Days? A slightly older game from late 2005, but the graphics are great. It's definitely a journey type adventure.

"I would definitely say the game is very underrated... "
Probably because of the horrendous navigation problems !!

I agree with you there, Mad. Appalling navigational issues.
Edit: This is a really old thread, btw!

Those are four good ones BubbaJake. Have you played the Broken Sword games?

Recently out - Lost Horizon is a GREAT game! Unfortunately (for you) the protagonist is male - but other than that: It's a journey game, and a fantastic one.
There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.
