I've recently read about the games shivers I and II. Tried to order by Interact but it's not on their list. Could you tell me where I could buy them and if so can I play them on window XP? Thank you. Sali

It's an old game sali, I would post in the Trading POst forum for it.

sali,

I only played the first Shivers game but it was very eerie and the music and atmosphere were really good. I hope you can track the games down. luck

I have both and got them on half.com. Loved Shivers 1, haven't played 2 yet.

Or try Amazon.com

Shivers 1 is on my "top 10" list of favorite games - scared me (when crossing that 'river') into almost wetting my panties lol and I still think fondly of it even tho those jars and lids had me so frustrated (can only carry one at a time and always seemed to have the wrong lid for a specific jar). I keep hoping that GOG.com will make it available soon so I can play it on my WINXP. Good luck getting your hands on one/them. I did try several times to play @3 but only got so far and got stumped....finally gave up.
Love, Betty Lou

This was the 2nd game i played and one of the best.
When someone says they don't make games like they
use to ,this is one of the games they are talking about...You will love it .
I didn't like #2 it was i thought a disapointment.

I know exactly what spot Betty Lou is talking about! My reaction exactly!
Shivers (the original) is a great, great game. If you can find it, go for it!

The answer is....chocolate! Who cares what the question is.....

sali, Shivers 1 is a great game, still one of my fav's. I actually still have my copy(but I don't part with any of my old games, just the pack rat in me I guess) I don't think it plays on XP without other software to help it play. Like BettyLou said, it would be great if GOG could get it.That way you could download and play without any problems.Shivers 2 was not as good, IMHO.

This post really makes me want to play the game again. I really miss all my old Sierra favorites.

Hi,
What does @3 mean? "I did try several times to play @3 but only got so far and got stumped....finally gave up."
Thank you, Julie

I never played Shivers. Sounds interesting. How old a game is it?

There's a wishlist over at

http://www.gog.com/en/wanted/

where you can write to say or rather suggest a game that you would like to see added to the gog.com catalogue...

You click the new button to add a new game...

Thanks LadyLinda. That is an old game. Guess I won't be playing it.

Shivers 1 played just fine on my XP. Shivers 2 did not load. I can still play it on my old Win 98 though. Loved Shivers 1.
