How scary is the Darkness Within games and what type of scares are there? I mean, since its first person, I expect something to jump up in front of the screen which is something I hate. If it's just creepy with a few "scares" then I might actually play them razz

Any thoughts?

Sorry Doffy, I have not played so I can't answer, but I hope someone who has will be along shortly.

Hi Doffy,

I haven't played DW2, but I enjoyed DW1. I don't recall anything jumping out at me, but there were a lot of suspenseful moments and feelings of being watched -- and occasionally you did have to shift it pretty fast to evade danger! eek Good fun. lol

Doffy90 -- I've played both games, and I don't remember anything jumping in front of the screen, though I can't say that I remember every moment of both games.

Still, there are a few gruesome sights, and moments of psychological horror, particularly in the second game.

Have you played the most recent Last Half of Darkness game? I'd say that the Darkness Within games have significantly less of the "startle" scares than in Last Half of Darkness.
