Hopefully you are in luck here....on the Big Fish forums, someone said that if you get to the puzzle screen and then type in the word 'edna' that this will bypass the puzzle.
I am going to go ahead and assume that you don't include the marks around the word and that you just type edna, but I'm not sure about that, so if just edna doesn't work, try 'edna'
Give this a try and let me know if it works. It might take more than one attempt, but someone on the Big Fish forums followed these directions and said that it worked.
Alternatively, you can go to YouTube and type in a search for "Inquisitor Shield Slider Puzzle" and you will see a video demonstration of how to solve it.
