I'm playing the downloaded re-mastered version.
I'm at the Tower of London and it won't let me pick up any of the blue objects necessary. I can look at them but can't pick them up. Any ideas?

Be sure to have read the book in the dormitory which references the Blue Bird of Paradise, and its obsession with the colour blue.
See the bird prints by the bushes near the scaffold site and examine them closely with the lens so that Holmes comments. Then check the bird book again and Holmes will identify the bird.
See if that then allows you to collect the blue items.
