I started playing Fairway Solitaire again. I have not played it for about a year. I am not familiar with golf in any way. I need a score of -1 or better to advance to the next level. Can someone tell me what "or better" is.
Thanks,
Susan duh

"Or better" would mean in this instance anything that is below -1, as in -2, -3, or even lower than that.

This is a great solitaire game; in fact, it's my favorite thus far.

Thanks Marian. I have gotten those scores but it didn't unlock the next round. I'll keep trying. I agree. It is a great solitaire game.

Hi Linds,

It's not a level you go to, if all you need was 1 under par, -1, it means that another course was opened for you to play on. There is only 1 level to a course.

Go to your course list and those that are open for you will be highlighted.

Each new course will open another if you get the qualifying score.

Hi Flo,
I did get -1 a few times and it did not unlock the next level. I am three quarters through the game. Maybe there is a glitch?

It is the total score at the end of the round at that course, so you have to finish the round at that course before you can advance.

I too love Fairway Solitaire and play it all the time. Even though I find golf as interesting as watching paint dry.

Another dumb question.
I have to get +1 or better at the course I am now playing. At the end of the level I had a score of +5.
Should that have unlocked the next level? It did not.

It's been awhile since I played the game, but in real golf, the lower the score the better.

EDIT: I just looked it up and they are scoring it like the real game of golf. You need to get a lower score not a higher one.

It is a great game! I played it through twice when first released!

So many games, so little time.
