Hi there

I sincerely apologise if there is a thread for this already- but I couldn't find one.

My problem in Les Misrabeles, (Napoleon has just been defeated) is that I either am not finding the correct official in the cafe, or I'm clicking him onto the incorrect prison records.

I've tried both the man sitting down at a table with a woman, and the man standing up called "government official".

Both if them respond by saying: "Who would want to read through lists of prisoners?"

I've also tried clicking on "official records" and "government records" , but no go..

Could someone please tell me what I'm missing?

EDIT: Ok, I've now seen everything Jean ValJean's sister and the judge has to say, but I cannot seem to budge them either. I've let them think of the priosn records in the archives, and them and the government official of each other too.

There are (as I recall) two cafes. You probalby need to find the other cafe.

Hi there! Sorry to bug you again. This time, I am stuck in the sewers.

I have already met Thernadier, spoken with him, and he (Thernadier) is now at the grating. I've made Jean Valjean think of the grating and clicked all around there many times.

I've asked Victor Hugo for help, but all he wants to tell me, is that I should exit the sewers and attract the police's attention to the grating.

Problem is though,- how on earth DO I exit the sewers? headscratch I've wandered all around the sewers by now, and there doesn't seem to be any other exit? crazy

Yes, there is a sewer exit, though it's been so long since I played the game that I don't remember how to find it!

If you visit the Enter the Story website and post in the forum there, I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Thanks, Becky. I'll ask and poke around those dirty sewers some more as well.
Anyway, so am I supposed to find a different exit than the grating where Thernadier is?

Ah, nevermind..- I see. Jean Valjean said HE should draw attention to the grate, so I clean forgot I can use Peri outside the sewers. blush

lol What you can do in the game does take some getting used to! I have those "lightbulb" moments in it all the time. wave
