Ahh...the symbols by the fountain was a different clue. You are right, the other one is by the bench near the fountain.

I liked that puzzle because I do enjoy most sliders & there were a few of them in various forms!

I had a good bash at all of the puzzles in the game but did skip on some of them after a while when I got bored! But I did appreciate that all of them presented a challenge & made a change from the silly repetitive 'between chapters' games that ruin a lot of casual games (or did!) smile

You would have to discuss that with who you purchased it from.

I'm playing the bonus round and trying to get into the captains cabin. The name of the other ship is michele and I tried it backward and changed the letters but I couldn't get the door to open. Does anybody know in what order to enter the letters. Thanks

Finished the game twice now, and except for the horrible, horrible flower cutting puzzle, absolutely loved it. (I am especially mad about the flower cutting puzzle because it means I'm never going to be able to get the achievement for not skipping puzzles unlocked).

Have found all of the regular insignias, but only one of the gold ones.

So my questions are:

a) Has anyone else found any of the gold ones, and would they care to pool knowledge as to where?
b) Can I get the gold ones without replaying the game for a third time?

And a bonus two-part question: Do you get anything special for unlocking all the achievements? and is it worth it to do so?

I couldn't do the flower-cutting puzzle either & couldn't see how it could be achieved although it must be possible?

As for the gold coins - if anyone's found any was it by using the metal detector? smile

The coins for the puzzle require the use of the metal detector.
I only found two golden crown insignias in the game.

There's a post somewhere on the Big Fish forums that lists how to get all of the gold insignias. I'm not sure I would be able to find that post again, though; there's a lot to wade through on that forum.

Thanks Ana, you must have to use it absolutely everywhere to get all of the gold coins unless there are some other ways of finding them? smile

There are only 3 coins to find I believe. It wasn't hard to get them all, there are not many places you can use it.

I searched around on the Big Fish forums, and here is a compilation list of where/how all the gold insignias are found:

Click to reveal..

1. Enter “pippi” as the computer password.

2. Calling F.T. Fish on payphone in the bar at 737-4410 before you call Lamont or play the Claw Game because the coins will go away.

3. Fish fountain at the front of the house - the pattern is at the crow’s nest on the ship. The pattern is the center spot and the inner most ring.

4. Plunge the kitchen sink with the plunger before you fix the toilet - backwards clue from the game credits.

5. Play the notes BFG on the piano - clue from the game credits.
B = the white key to the right of the 94 key
F = the white key with 114 on it
G= the white key with 7 on it

6. One is in the margin of your journal, usually around page 20 to 25.

7. Spell out Rowena Spinch on chest lock that is under the mausoleum before you spell out Phineas Crown – clue from the game credits.

8. Use the metal detector then dig a hole with the shovel on the footprints in the swamp before you dig up the last coin.

9. Use the can opener on the white can on the shelves to the left of the trap door area under the mausoleum. The can opener is in a H.O.G. at the air conditioner on the side of Cooter’s house.

10. Use the ice pick on the freezer in the gas station. The ice pick in in a H.O.G scene under the mausoleum.

The H.O.G scenes for the last two are not triggered until after you place the 13 skulls on the pattern in the alligator's nest in the swamp.

I am referring to the coins/medallions you need to find with the metal detector for the puzzle, not the gold insignia thingies. lol

The gold crown insignias were very tough to find. I found only 4 before the end of the game. But, if you watch the credits all the way through, there are several clues. Marian has listed them all, however, you have to find a good number of them before you reach the end and before you play the bonus game. Once you reach the end you no longer have the plunger or the coin purse. It would appear that the developers are very clever in their way of getting us to play this game over and over. wink

The best math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of current decisions.

Indeed! I only found a couple of those gold thingies myself, so this game is already on my to-be-replayed list. grin

Once I read the hint for the flower puzzle it was easy. There were 3 different sets, each one slower to grow than the next, you cut the slower ones first, then the second group and the fast ones the last. I think the white ones were first, then the orange then the purple. Watch them to see how fast they come back to make sure.

Or I may have read it in a walkthrough.

Oh Ana...I am so apologetic and OLD! Sorry for the mix up...I need to read a little more closely. And yes I do remember the metal detector and getting those little buggers.

blush Jody and YES that is a blushing face!
