Hi,

I've been playing this game after downloading from Amazon (thanks to the person who posted about that!). It's been running pretty well on my laptop but I just got to a part where it crashes and sends me back to my desktop. I get an "animationsprite" error about failing to create an offscreen plain surface. Anyway...

It's obviously a graphics or video card conflict and I'm probably out of luck because my computer is a few years old...but first I wanted to request a saved game from a point slightly past the place where this happens, just to see if that helps.

I'm in Chapter 4 and I have already been to the museum and to see my friend at the stadium. When it takes me back to the outside of the stadium and I need to go to the IOC office, and it takes me to the map, clicking on my destination of Pariser Platz is when it crashes.

So if someone has a save from approximately this point, I would love to try that first.

I checked to see if my email address appears on my posts but I'm not sure if it does. I'll go back and do that, though, if I can.

I'll send you a few saves from around this point in the game and you can use whichever is closest for you.

Thank you SO much! I'm going to try it. I found another workaround but it's making the game run really slowly. I'm going to try some of your saves and see if it helps.

Hi cathym - You mentioned to Rushes that you tried a workaround earlier.

I am very curious what you tried. I helped a friend with a game with a similar problem by changing the graphic detail and zoom quality to "very good" - this seemed to have "fixed" his game and was able to continue on.

If you are continuing - great - it's a great game, one of the best to come along in a while.
