I am in Gibraltar...in the police station, and the policemen won't leave. I've given the count his meds...and there are no more conversations that I can have. When I go near the customs office, they tell me not to "poke around." Also, when I go to the locked Wicket-gate, I can see the stone where the key is hidden, but it is not a hot spot. Do I need to go back to my save when I capture the man with the eye patch?

The policeman should leave when you tell them about the intruder that you caught.

Also - be sure that you know the address of the woman you saw at the cemetery by checking the package.

You can only go to her place if you read her address from the package.

Hoello, as it happens I havegone back to the yacht to get the counts meds, discovered the intruder peeked round the door as the cutscene goes,popped back out put the cane in the handle and I try to put the pre tied rope on the handle and that just doesn't work. I get timed out and copt the poisoned thingy from the blowpipe. what's the thing about putting the rope on the door handle... I love the game but these bits I hate. I tie the knot and at any other time I click on it the knot is still there but in this action the knot is no longer ther just the coil... I don't get it

After you do the knot correctly, do below - with care about where the active spots are located.

Trap intruder:

Open the Count's cabin door. See the bald headed man with the eye patch. He throws a gold coin on the desk.

Look close at cabin door. Sylvie says the handle is different.

Use the Count's cane on the door handle.

Use the knot on the rope on the door handle.

The intruder is trapped. Go back to the police station.

The policemen do not leave when I tell them about the intruder. And I am not able to see the package, as they are standing there telling me not to poke around.

Did you do everything necessary in the cemetery -- did you clean the tombstone and left/right click on it to get info on Briggs (his birthdate and date of death)? Keep clicking until there's no more new info on it. Then speak to the customs officer about it. See if that triggers their leaving the station.

Thanks, Rushes, but I had already listened to everything. I ended up going back to the save from the yacht, before I captured the man with the eye patch in the Count's cabin. THEN, (and I am pretty sure I did all this before), I followed the walkthrough. Sure enough, the policemen left, I opened the customs gate, got the address, gave the meds to the Count, gave the meat to the dog and am now talking to Sarah. (I think that's her name.) Thanks to all you others, too, for your suggestions.
