You can download it here: RealMYST

This apparently was a "soft release" on Big Fish Games and thus there was no official announcement. This is quite the surprise! happydance wave

I just bought it. I have heard so much about this game and how so many have enjoyed it. I have read on the BF forums that it could take weeks to play. Probably will take me months--I don't care. slapforehead Can't wait to try it. Snowing like crazy here so a great night to play.

wave Marion - I didn't even see it as a soft release.

That's good to know, Gil. thumbsup We have quite a few posters here, though, who probably have a game credit or two to spend on Big Fish and could get the game right now therefore for free, so I thought I would mention the Big Fish release of this game as well. wave

Kate Anne, this game will definitely make use of your brain cells. grin

Gil, we have a lot of BF members here and they appreciate the announcement. Us club members can use a credit we have saved instead of paying money.

EDIT: I guess I have to stop walking away from my computer before hitting submit. You weren't there when I started Marian. lol

Money? What's that? Free is good. Good point, Marian and Ana.

My game credits cost me $6.99 each month. Where do you get the free ones?

We don't get free ones lazydaisy, but if you have a collection of unused credits like I do, using one does not take any money out of my pocket at this point since I already paid for the credit.

Actually GOG is having a half off sale on Cyan games this weekend.
So for a limited time RealMyst is only $2.99 at GOG.

I certainly hope Big Fish download of RealMyst works for you folks better than the GOG version did for me. I never could get it to run for long before crashing.

I've downloaded RealMyst from BFG and it's playing ok in Windows XP SP3 except for a glitch when objects broke up and were hanging in the sky. I wondered "is this part of the game" and decided not. I save often so I just loaded the last save. I really liked Myst 4 and 5 but had my doubts about this earlier game until I read Becky's review - thanks Becky. I'm finding it challenging but quite fun for an older game.

I'm glad you're enjoying it blackbird -- yes it is a challenging game.

I've gone on Big Fish and can find realMyst by searching, but I don't see it listed in the Recent Release calendar. Odd, isn't it? Does anyone know -- did it release more than a month ago?

Usually the soft releases still go on the calendar but not as a TGT, this time they just added it without any mention. It came out on January 20th.

I hate to say this, but GOG does have RealMyst for less, but getting it to play is another thing. AND they will not help you no matter what you do or say, so having bought it from them first and still not being able to get it to play without it crashing when the mood hits it (and not being able to save the game either) I will pay AGAIN this time Big Fish gets my coin. I know they will try to do something beside shine me on when I try to get help. Riven is doing the same for someone else, crashing whenever you try to save with GOG games.

I had to use Marian's link to find RealMyst at Big Fish. I got and installed it and have been playing it with only a few minor problems. There has been no crashing and I can save!

Thanks for the info, Ana.

Well, I purchased this on Big Fish and have been attempting to play it (my OS is Win 7, 64 bit), but I'm having problems, including lag whenever there's video or animation, and an inability to save my game. frown I may have to play it on one of my older computers.

That's the same issue the one from GOG has too. Maybe they'll fix it.

I'm playing on an XP, and it would be nice if GOG would just respond to emails sometimes. I have Buried In Time from them (for 4 months now) and while I have and can play the CD version, I wanted to try it from them. No Go. Sound is great but no picture. They still have not responded. Gamers at GOG have tried to give advice, but not the 'powers that be'.
From my experience, you can contact them but that's as far as it goes.

I'm having the same problems as Becky. I also bought it from Big Fish and have Windows 7, 64 bit. If you get it going Becky, let me know what you did. I love all the Myst games.
