AGS stands for Adventure Game Studio - a popular freeware tool to create adventure games that was made by Chris Jones (not the one of Tex Murphy fame).

Since 2001 the AGS community has been organizing an annual awards ceremony called 'AGS Awards'. And nominations for this years awards have just been chosen as the result of 3 weeks of players voting:
