Was stuck for some time in the medical bay trying to solve the fuse puzzle, but had to surrender and check the walkthrough. So now I know where to put the fuses (so I'm not stuck) but I still don't know why that is the correct order.
I found the note in the pool, but have no idea how it connects to this solution.
Can someone explain this?

thanks

I agree - I pulled my hair out on this one and Ludwig gave me the solution. Maybe someone else can explain this puzzle for us.

Each fuse has three colours. A "head" colour, which is the colour at the end of the fuse. It has a top coloured stripe, and a bottom coloured stripe along the length of the body.

The top coloured stripe of a fuse tells you that another fuse of that colour (whose head is that colour) should be exactly 1 space away in any direction, horizontal or vertical.

The bottom coloured stripe of a fuse tells you that another fuse of that colour should be 2 spaces away in any direction.

The puzzle is solved when all fuses are positioned on the board so that all their coloured stripes are true.

OK, thanks.
But the note says: 'Bottom is another colour 2 slots away'.
Should I interpret that as bottom is THAT colour 2 slots away?
Or is this no issue for you native speakers? smile

Can be taken to mean:

Quote:
"Bottom (Stripe) refers to a fuse of another colour that is 2 slots away"

or

Quote:
"Bottom (Stripe) is that colour 2 slots away"

Hope this helps.

I didn't need any explanation: I just looked at Mag's walkthrough and copied it. rotfl
