I just downloaded the Shiver game and it said that the time had expired. Wasn't this game just released on BFG? I know that I play a lot of games and sometimes don't remember them but I don't think I played this game. I'm probably going to buy this game, but I like to try the demo to see if it will work on my computer.

Yes, this game is a new release. I have seen other folks on the Big Fish forums in the past mentioning that their trial time had expired before they had a chance to play the demo, and I don't have a clear idea of why this occurs. Here are some suggestions offered there to try to correct this issue: 1) Uninstall the game and then redownload it. 2) Don't uninstall the game from your Game Manager and then try redownloading the demo. 3) If #1 and #2 fail, contact Customer Support.

I had a similar problem with a game I downloaded last week called 'Slot Quest: shoot I forgot the rest of the title but it's about vampires.
Anyway, I played the whole demo and was prepared to buy with a game credit coupon when it said the game hadn't been released. I email BFG yesterday and waiting for an answer. They usually get back pretty quickly so there might be a lot of people having this problem. We'll see.
It doesn't make sense to offer a game that's not ready to be played or bought yet. I hope that's not a new marketing strategy.

There's apparently a large technical problem with this game (game crashes) and the game has been (I believe temporarily) pulled until it's fixed. Customer Support is offering a game credit to folks who have purchased it, or the option to wait for the new build. I found this information on the Big Fish forum for the game.

Cappy, thus far a definitive update/new build for Slot Quest has not been released. A mod posted on the Big Fish forums to say that if this becomes available it will be announced right away. I found the following post from a mod (dated yesterday): Glad to hear the game is now working for you. It was released briefly last night as a Critical Update that resolved the issue with the game crashing. However, there are still issues with the game not launching.
Because of this, we've pulled the game down again and are awaiting a version that resolves the problem with the game not launching.
And to prevent any confusion, I'll be locking up any threads related to the updated version that was temporarily up last night.
