I didn't receive a press release from Iceberg yet, but I had a look at the Official Website and I found out that the release date is now September 9th 2011 frown
Let's hope it's the definitive date, but I'm sure the game will be worth the wait wink

I hope it will NOT Require a 3d graphic (card)to be able to play it-there's still so many of us that don't have a pc with that! But as before would rather it take longer than have a mess when it is released! Have been looking forward to this game.

Gamenut,
It looks like you may be out of luck. Here are the system specs. I don't think I will be able to play it either. I only have a 1.8 ghz AMD Athlon cpu.

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Microsoft® Windows XP®,Vista®, 7
CPU: 3.0 Ghz Intel® Pentium® IV or AMD® processor
RAM: 512 MB RAM (XP®), 1 GB RAM (Vista®, 7)
DRIVE: 4x CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive
HD SPACE: TBA
VIDEO: 128 MB DirectX® 9.0C Compatible 3D accelerated video card, supporting 32bit (true color) colour depth at 1024x768.
SOUND: 16-bit DirectX® 9.0C Sound Card

I'm sure you'll be able to run it. How much processing power can a slideshow game need? The resolution is quite low too, most new games are almost double that.

Hi guys, havn't been here in a while!

>>How much processing power can a slideshow game need?

True, but it also has realtime 3D animation I belive, as with The Lost Crown and Dark Fall: Lost souls. The higher Pentium speed would seem to suggest higher quality realtime models.

I agree with Gamer. These games are meant to be played in dark days of autumn. I'm looking forward to this!

I believe that if you have a Core 2 Duo, this should be more than adequate processing power to run the game, b/c a Core 2 Duo @ 2.53 Ghz (rated as a high mid-range CPU) can handle more data processing than a Pentium 4 @ 3 GHz (rated as a low mid-range CPU).

This is just MMHO - mods, please correct me if I'm wrong?

Guess I haven't been in here in a while either .

Forgive my noobish question but if I see supports 32-bit, does it necessarily mean my win 7-64 may not support it?

With regard to 3D cards, I really don't get the fact that I've just finished playing the first Crysis game without so much as a slowdown (the graphics were phenomenal!) and I STILL can't get the first Adam's Venture game to run on my machine. Disappointing...

Keeping fingers crossed for a september release.

Ikonius -- I've played games on my win 7-64 bit system that did not list it as a supported OS, and I've usually had no problems. I'm definitely expecting to be able to play Bracken Tor! Time will tell, I gues. grin

My UK website says expected despatch 4 Sep 11.
I do know that when Matt was told how long it would be before the distributors were going to release the game he took it back and has expanded it from the original. So a longer wait but a better and longer game.

Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

I've played so many HOGs waiting for Bracken Tor to be released I think I've forgotten how to play a real game.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait though.

There are rumours that the game will be released for Halloween...I guess it will be best to wait after the Gamescom to find out. frown

Yes, Cathy1, I won't be able to play this game. Requirements too steep. Such a shame...I think will probably just have to give up Adventure gaming as most games coming out are just too advanced for my pc and cannot afford a new one. At least can enjoy some of the bigfish casual dark and creepy games..but still not the same as full length, in depth game. However, know I'm not the only one with this problem by a long shot-so there will be many others disappointed as well.
