DUMB question. blush
What's the difference with DVD? Can they put more info on the DVD instead of CD?

Dear forest animals,
I've been singing for over an hour, where are you?
Sincerely,

Yes, more information can fit on a DVD.

One thing I didn't know, when you order the boxed version from HeR, it does not come with the paper box cover.

You only get that in the store bought versions.

Do you get the extra perks when pre-ordering from Dave too?

Hate to whine, (and would never stack posts to ask again)but does no one know the answer to my question?

I don't know what "Dave" means so I can't be 100% sure 'bout it.
According to Her Interactive blog
Quote:
When you pre-order from us, you will receive the Special Edition game that bonus content and additional game play…so get your copy today. Pre-orders end on June 15th.

So I don't think that you'll receive the Special Edition from "Dave" [whatever it means]

By the way The Character Profiles Page is Up!!

"Dave" is the owner of the online shop InteractCD.com laugh

We call him by his name, because he has the best costumer support and he always reply back himself.

Hi gaily -- I don't have the answer to your question. Dave at Interact CD is quite responsive -- why don't you email him?

You can get the special editions of the game only if you pre-order from HerInteractive and for a limited time.

Pre-orders for CAP ends on June 15.

Sorry, "Dave" is the owner of "Interact." The link is above between "forum" and "homepage". He sells videogames and is often referenced in this forum. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for the reply.

I like Nancy when she's overseas. A different culture seems like more of a challenge for her.

The Her Interactive preorders sold out as of Monday morning, so the company began shipping preorders early. I just got an email that my game has been shipped and it is scheduled to arrive on Friday. happydance

I've also read confirmation now of the title and location of Nancy Drew #25 (due out in October), but I will keep that to myself for now so as to not spoil the fun. wave

I pre-ordered and when I checked my account at Herinteractive this morning, the digital download of Captive Curse is now available for me.

Unfortunately it's a very stormy day here so I don't want to goof up the download with electronic interruptions possible.

This fellow at YouTube has great Nancy Drew walkthroughs and is very amusing. He already has a CC episode posted up. His blog is also very informative. Captive Curse

I hope you enjoy it, Richard. I'm having a lot of fun with the game. I'm taking my time because I don't want it to end. wave

Since I had started a topic expressing my disappointment in ND games,I've been trying to find an actual review of this game and haven't found one. Is this any better than the previous games?

Thanks.

You can find player reviews on the Her Interactive forums but I don't believe there are any official reviews yet (the official release date of the game is the 28th).

There are no repetitive chores in the game and there are also no third-person-perspective views. There are also more hints available if you are playing on the junior level of difficulty. The game has more dialogue and more snooping than some of the previous entries.

I'll give my review...

The plot is rather dull but the gameplay is fun.
The puzzles are difficult but not overly so.
Graphics are pretty good too.

The characters are interesting and amusing, especially Lukas. I'm not done yet but I think I know who the culprit will turn out to be.

Hopefully you GB pals will post up your opinions!

Well now!

The security chief, namely Lukas's dad stunk at his job...he was never there LOL

AAAAAAAAAAAAND it never explained why Renate's sister was killed or by who...uhm...
Click to reveal..
isnt the culprit too young to be guilty of that?

Some untied strings in this plot...sheesh!
