Sparkle, I downloaded the demo just because your questions made me curious. Sheesh! This game has the strangest controls yet! The 'getting started screen' is not interactive, you just have to wait it out. The cell phone has no purpose I can see and the very faint wording on it says "no signal" anyway. Maybe it comes into play later on.
I think they just decided to encourage you with a bunch of hints for clicking around on the screen in the beginning.
That scratchy font is hard on the eyes!
In the bedroom, if you click on one picture, Dean says it's from the 19th century. Click on the other, he says it's from the 20th. So, the combination of the safe is 19__. (You'll never guess.)
You get a key. Dean runs out into the night ?? and you run into a puzzle that is really impatient and tells you what to do if you take too long about finding a piece.
Some of the HO scenes are so dark that you'd better have darned good eyesight. Try finding a black kitten on a dark grey screen! I did but it was mostly luck. Ditto with the boards and the pickaxes.
Dean's English could use some work.
I'm not saying the game is bad, just that it's very strangely made, at least as far as I've gotten, which is about as far as I'm going, I think, since I have a really well-made game waiting for me.
Back to Black Mirror III!

This is one of the worst games I've ever tried to play. The screens are so dark that I can't find anything. The English is not good. At one point I had to use ctrl, alt, delete to get back to the main menu to quit. I deleted before I finished the demo. Teddo

I played about ten minutes of the demo and couldn't take any more. What a awful game. The screens were so dark. I wouldn't want it even if it was free. I tried to enter a profile but couldn't. Don't even try the demo. Richard

I probably would take the game if it were free and you got to tell the developers how they could improve it because they obviously need all the help they can get. I honestly feel embarrassed for them. And, truthfully, that's partially BFG's fault for putting this game in the lineup the way it is now.
