Here is a new interview posted on ACG with the developer of Edna & Harvey from Daedalic Entertainment talking about the series (including the new sequel Harvey's New Eyes).

There are some neat concept arts posted in the article. Sadly, Jan did not say much about the sequel in the interview. I wonder why.

thanks for the link, Dave! Interesting interview. I really enjoyed Edna and Harvey, and I'm looking forward to the sequel as well. thumbsup

DaveHT -- A fun interview! It's interesting what he said about the translation costs (meaning hiring a good translator and writer so that the game dialog is as good as if it were written in the original language) are so expensive as to discourage translating the game at all. frown As for not talking about the upcoming sequel -- sometimes developers can't talk about specifics because of their agreement with the publisher.

Good point, Becky.

As we get more and more "imported" games, the cost and time to do English translation will increasingly dictate if an English release would ever see the light of day.

It saddens me to see the entire "industry" for our genre had reversed as compared to two decades ago, at a time when non-English countries would rarely receive native translation of an English adventure game previously released in the US.
