I am absolutely stuck trying to unlock the padlock which keeps the boat tied to the dock. I have tried and tried, I heard the lock chink but it still won't let me into the boat.....what am I doing wrong please.......

Edit: I managed to get as far as drinking the antidote for snake bitem, and saw Hank hanging from the tree. I am still trying to get into the boat, even to the point of restarting my computer several times. Maybe I should try one more time.

If you can't get onto the boat, that means you still need to do something back at the house.

Did you pick up the mysterious box from the shelf, that the figure told you about?

Yes I did as it is in my inventory, is there another one I have missed ?

There's a box which you picked up much earlier in the game also. How many boxes do you have in inventory?

Double-check the cabinet shelves in the room where you spoke to the figure. It's on a shelf at the back wall, to the right, midway to high up, if I remember correctly.

OK yes it is me again, I have the boxes and got as far as the witch and the 'spider puzzle' with the coloured orbs.....there it all comes to a halt as I can't get the orbs to rotate..... I have tried all sorts of ways, but I am sure there is a very simple solution....help !!!!!

Nanjoan, it's been a while but I don't think the orbs actually rotate. You have them on the floor diagram? When they're in the right places, some of them should start shaking. I think you're supposed to count the number of orbs that are shaking so you know how far to rotate the symbols that came up on the cards. So if 3 are shaking, you move the symbol 3 spaces, etc.

Hope you have the paper documents which came with the game, Nanjoan. They're necessary for this puzzle.

I am still puzzling it out, but i have the user manual and a loose sheet for solving the puzzle using the CD, should there be anything else there ??

The diagram you need is in the journal. That's all you need to find the symbols from the cards, and then count clockwise from that symbol in the journal diagram, however many places in accordance with the number of orbs you saw flashing. The three respective symbols you end up at, are the correct ones.

Oh no, you don't have the grey booklet with the word "Notes" on the front of it? In the middle of that, across two pages, is the Spider Diagram.

If you don't have it, I'd suggest e-mailing Bill the developer directly. He's a member here also (billy), and is very helpful.

The bugs (flies) are in the Moon Room. Here's how to get to it:

Let’s check out the Main Courtyard. Use the map to zip to that location. R through the arch at the far right and Enter Doorway. F to the moon room and Move to Center of Floor.

If you move your cursor around the floor area you should see a text box telling you how many flies are in that area. I don't think you are actually able to see them flying about.
