It's not the Website that I can't logon to, that works from my actual Browser - both with Firefox and IE, it's the link on the Zodiac game thingy that I downloaded, at first I was able to use it and was downloading the game, but there were errors and after several hours the message came up that the game download had failed. After that I couldn't access login to the Zodiac thingy that I'd downloaded - really weird.

Ooo, I'd sure like to get this game, maybe in early March. Do I really have to use the Zodiac downloader to d/l the game? I mean, can't I just d/l it from my browser?

Yes, cruise.

You need the Zodiac downloader to download - as well as to play it. But you play it offline.

Maybe this is not the right place to ask this, but why are these companies selling games with a requirement that you download their client to play them?

Frankly, I'm not going to do it so that's one sale Zodiac has lost.

this is quite simple; we had two choice to 'protect' the games and the developers, while trying to limit piracy.

The first was to give activation code for the games and let the user download the games from the browsers: but we feel this is a limiting choice! You can't change PC, you can't play on more machine, the links expire etc. So we decided to use a client software to activate the games: it's small, not at all 'heavy' for your PC and it has a lot of nice, simple features. Plus you can login in your account from whenever you are and download/play your games immediately, without searching for links, asking permissions and so on.

I'm sorry you don't like the system and I invite you to try it (with a Demo, for example).

Must admit I felt as you do initially but I went ahead anyway and had some problems with a 301 error as the game itself wouldn't download. anyway, cutting a long story short, with help from the Zodiac people I eventually did manage to download everything and am very glad I did. No problem at all with having Zodiac in my machine and certainly easy to access the game and the fact that you can access your game on your other computers is, I think, a bonus. I've already had a problem with another game when I had to upgrade the computer and at the time didn't have a laptop, but with Zodiac I could have simply downloaded and accessed the game from that instead of having to start the whole process from the start when I got the new computer - of course the whole thing is "horses for courses".

Will the game play on XP SVGA s3 graphics?

There is a link in the first post for a demo. It is best to try it out and see Cruise.

I just tried to d/l the demo, but I just can't. I got to the zodiac website ok, but ther're no d/l link for the demo. Flash Player is newly installed (from the link at the site).

- Try downloading the Zodiac downloader - by clicking on the text link at top right of Zodiac webpage.
- Then download the demo by clicking on the "free" demo link.
- Then open the zodiac downloader and check "games".
- Open or play the demo.

Ok, I d/l Zodiac, but I still cannot find the d/l link to the demo. Its simply not there.

The only thing that I can find on the zodiac page is where you have to sign up - and it requires that you enter your payment info, address, etc. Why didn't you tell me I had to sign up if I wanted to d/l the demo?

We stated that you have to have the "Zodiac download software" to download the demo-game from that site.

OR you could have read the rules on that site yourself. If you didn't want to - you could have stopped.

As for the demo - click on the frame "to buy" beside the FREE text on the demo page.

I had a lot of trouble trying to d/l the demo, I had to sign up, etc, go thru checkout, confirmation, etc, etc, then I got invoice email for the demo but still I didn't get the demo. Why can't I get the demo??????

Even when I click on the invoice's link all I see is a description of the order (free order) but no d/l link for the demo at all.

I got it to play, but I think you have to play the demo as an online game. I started play about 9 a.m. saved, exited, shut off my computer, and now I tried restoring/resuming my saved game, and it froze up - no amount of clicking (R or L) nor pressing the spacebar does anything. I guess I'll have to get rid of the game b/c I can no longer play it - I think the demo only runs 1 time and it must be played in one sitting, right?

I was upset about a non-computer issue when I posted in the above about having to give up on this game. I really wanted to play the demo before actually buying this game and test it - but like I said in the post before this one, the demo froze up after restoring a save and nothing I did made it playable again - help, please?


Yes, I'm now back to wanting this game (and to test the demo) once more.
