I really appreciate all the comments everyone submits for these wonderful games which does help me determine the right game for me. Now, I have a choice to make and wanted some input from you all. Since I can only purchase one CE game, thought you could help me decide which of these two games to get:

1. Spirits of Mystery: Song of the Phoenix
or
2. House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster

I've played both - Amber Maiden and Family Secrets and loved them both.

Thanks for any help wave

May as well flip a coin, Spankie. I'd have to recommend both. grin

I agree with Sparkle; they are both very good games. Just get one now by flipping a coin and tell yourself that eventually you will get the other one too. That's how I resolve these agonizing decisions. laugh wave

Thanks Sparkle and Marian....I usually wait for the standard version because I'm not really interested in all the other extras in the CE unless the bonus chapter is worth it and clarifies/continues the storyline.

Will go find a coin to flip! lol woozy

Hi, spankie!

I just finished playing "House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster" and thoroughly enjoyed it. The main game took me about 4-1/2 hours and the bonus section was just under 2 hours in casual mode. I only skipped 1 puzzle and didn't use any hints in the HO scenes. The graphics were excellent; the puzzles were fun; and, the storyline was interesting.

I haven't downloaded the demo of "Spirits of Mystery: Song of the Phoenix" yet but, from what I've read on BFG, it's definitely a winner because it's rated 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Hi Susan, wave
Thanks so much for that bit of info on "House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster". I was deciding on that one because something I read in a review about the bonus chapter where we finally learn something about the enigmatic Gabriel.

Really want to get "Spirits of Mystery: Song of the Phoenix" also but will have to wait till next month and perhaps there will be some reviews about the bonus chapter.
