Phyllo, each forum has a different time to do their lists. The casual forum is in January, we already did the list for this year. You can view it here.

We look forward to seeing you on this years list when we post it. yay

Sorry Ana. I didn't realize that it was already over. I'll try to remember to post my list next year in January.

I noticed Phyllo that none of the games you mentioned appear on the List for 2012. What is the difference between the games you listed compared with the ones in the list? Are they a different type of casual games?

I can see they all come from Big Fish Games though.

I notice that many of these games (although not all) are time management games. I like time management games very much, but many of our forum members seem to prefer IHOGs and casual adventures. wave

Thanks Marian, I only like casual adventures myself... Would I be safe trying the games from the list then? Or are they a mix of all the above? Sorry for my ignorance, I'm sure it is all explained somewhere on the forum...

I believe that all of the games on the list are available at Big Fish Games. I would look up the game titles at Big Fish and see how they are categorized, whether they are listed under adventure/hidden object/match-3, time management, etc.; that should help you determine what kind of game it is that you are considering. And, if you have a question about a specific title, feel free to ask. Most, but not all, of the titles recommended by our forum members fell into the IHOG/casual adventure-type category.

Also, if you would like some game recommendations that fit the type of game you enjoy, I'm sure folks here could give you some suggestions. What casual games have you played so far that you enjoyed? wave

I have played Mushroom Age and I started Emma and the Inventor on iPad. Are these considered hidden objects or casual adventures? I am more interested in iPad games than PC when it comes to casual games, when I have time to kill without having to turn on the whole PC... Some Big Fish Games are also on iPad I think?

Big Fish does indeed have some iPad games. Mushroom Age was more like a casual adventure than a hidden object game. Among the choices that Big Fish carries for the iPad, I would recommend:

Drawn: The Painted Tower
Drawn: Dark Flight
Azada: Ancient Magic
Nightmare Adventures: The Witch's Prison

Those four above have no standard hidden object scenes at all (except for one small hidden object scene in Nightmare Adventures, which is more of a wry joke than anything else, and quite amusing in its own right).

If you are willing to tolerate some hidden object scenes along with the adventure, I would also recommend:

Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker
Mystery Case Files: The 13th Skull
Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove

I hope you find something to enjoy. wave

I am just playing Emma & The Inventor (it was the Daily Deal recently) and for $2.99, it's a really good game - Not too hard on my tired old brain!
