If you missed Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine, a wild west adventure in 2006, or if you are like me and loved it so much you can't wait to take another spin at it, now's your chance!

Check the Screenshots here.

You can vote for them on Greenlight here.

You can check out Becky's Review of the original here.

Quote:
Who is Al Emmo?
Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine harkens back to the "golden age" of adventure gaming with hand-drawn VGA graphics, an icon-driven interface, a comedic storyline, and classic point-and-click puzzle solving. Al -- a feeble, middle-aged man unlucky in love -- gets wrapped up in a thousand-year-old Aztec curse while trying to impress a sultry lounge singer. Does this balding, parentally dependent fashion disaster have what it takes to be a treasure-hunting cowboy?

What's new and improved?
With over 120 hand-painted backgrounds, more than 15k frames of fluid character animation, and unique messages for practically everything you click on, Al Emmo is a lovingly crafted game by a team passionate about old-school adventures. New features in Al Emmo Enhanced include:
• A brand new voice actor for the titular character, Al Emmo
• Classic 2D-animated cutscenes
• 20 achievements
• Sierra-style scoring system with 500 points to win
• Higher-res graphic options for more detailed characters
• UI and graphical tweaks to enhance gameplay

Where and how much?
Al Emmo Enhanced is available from the stores below. The new version will roll out to other portals throughout the month. It's also up for voting on Steam Greenlight!

• Desura ($9.99, game only): http://www.desura.com/games/al-emmo-and-the-lost-dutchmans-mine
• Zodiac ($9.99, game only): http://www.zodiac-store.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=762
• IndieGameStand ($11.99, game & soundtrack): https://indiegamestand.com/store/702/al-emmo-and-the-lost-dutchmans-mine/
• Himalaya Studios (unlockable trial version): http://www.himalayastudios.com/alemmo.php

Happy Gaming!

Think I'll give it a try. The first one had a voice that really irritated me. Perhaps with the new voice actor it will be less grating (to me).

Other than the voice I really enjoyed the game and, from watching the trailer, it appears it is made somewhat in the old Sierra on Line style of adventure games.

I am downloading the demo as I type this.

EDIT: Tried the demo and, in my opinion, this Al Emmo voice is better. So, I've purchased the game and am waiting for the code to unlock it.
