Unfortunately I have not looked at the type of file yet as I cannot find the saved game folder. It is a long time since I had to load a saved game. Incidentally I don't know what a descriptive file is. I am not very computer literate and all saved games seem the same to me. If you can help with my queries I would very grateful.

Check your Documents folder to see if there's a Broken Sword sub folder in there.

A descriptive file is one that has been given a name rather than a number.
