I only played the very first Capri game (A Quiet Weekend I think...correct me if I'm wrong!). Does the series still have the weird sci-fish puzzle elements, or is it more grounded in day-to-day object puzzles now?

AmunPtah, I am not sure what you mean by 'day-to-day object puzzles', but yes, the story of 'The Capri Connection' rather continues 'A Quiet Weekend on Capri', with the spirit of sci-fi in both the story and the puzzles.

However, you may want to take a look at the second game, 'Anacapri: the Dream' - it is not based on sci-fi and relies more on myths and lore (and it is the best game in the series, in my opinion).
