If nothing happens when you hit the b key, it's probably not time to do the deduction yet.

Until someone comes along who is familiar with this game, I suggest looking at the walkthrough and making sure that you didn't miss one or two little steps up to this point.

Hello! Maybe it's not the right forum, but I would like to point out that, even if it's not mentioned in the review, the game works fine with a X-box 360 control. Ciao!

In the game you need to inspect 26 characters. For some reason after the first woman (Mrs Carey) is a blank space, and then Neligan is. Now I am in the fifth chapter, and this empty cell is still not filled. In the first chapter I examined Mrs. Carey, Neligan, Hartley and Cairns. Whom I forgotten?

Looks like you haven't done or completed examining the victim Peter Carey.

Thank you, MaG!
Can I replay the Chapter 1 after Chapter 5 without loss of progress in the game? And then play Chapter 6 without replaying Chapters 2-5?

Gee. I really do not know.
- Why don't you keep the saved games that you are working on now in a safe folder.
Then see if you can play Chapter 1 again. This way - you have that game progress.

During my replays - I play individuals chapters as they are updated.
Then I replay from a new game straight through to the part that is not updated and kept those saved games in a folder to continue after the new chapter is updated.

Help, I can't find the bullet hole in the alley in half moon walk. I have the lantern on the pole and the w/t says it is in the upper right hand corner. Sherlock keeps saying "nothing of intrest". Can you help?

Doreen,

Are you looking at the correct wall? One wall does not have a bullet hole. The other wall has.
The one that the pawn broker is facing has the bullet hole.

Did you follow the walkthrough? You press the F key first/
Select the numbers of the figures.
Then press the Q key to see if the sequence is correct.

Stand inside the Colonial Collection room close to the door. Press the F key to deduce what happened.
See 3 Dunne figures. Click on a figure and select-click again the number of that figure in the deduced sequence of events.
The Dunne figure inside the Colonial Collection room breaking the door is #1,
The figure by the plant shelves knocking over the pot is #2.
The figure by the pond falling on the fence is #3.
Press the Q key to see the sequence in motion.

No - you can not bypass this puzzle. Sherlock has to know what happened.

The sequence cycles. It is not a timed puzzle.
Click on a figure and see that the number above it changes.
Click on the next figure and then the third.
If you miss or enter a wrong number - wait for it to show again.
If you can not see it - position yourself on another place.

I don't know where the saved game is located in win8. My saves will not work for you - mine are beta version.

You can number any of the 3 figures in any order - as long as you place the correct number above them. You do 3 - 2 - 1 or 2- 3- 1 or whatever.
Then press the Q key to see what happens and if correct - Sherlock will say something. luck

--------
I wonder - have you clicked on all the items that would lead to that conclusions: blood, footprints, door, etc...

You can buy it from frogwares or from steam. Steam has it on sale.
It's a great game.
