Culpa Innata - need help please

Culpa Innata - need help please - 12/31/07 09:36 PM

I am on day 20 however, in diary red writing on Day 8 says Chief thinks 7 digit number is a military service number and I should check it out on GPSN military database using my network mode and on Day 9 diary red writing says Chief gave permission for GPSN military database search and now suppose to be able to access it. My problem is that I am unable to access the military database. I have no more places left to go except metro tunnel and I am awaiting a warrant for that. Lena Vanderbilt's place is the only place semi-available...waiting for her a rehab. What have I missed or done wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If she says you can access it, use the computer and:
Military database - Use the 7 digit number on the frame and do a search. Get a Military Captain, Juan Antonio Perez.
Military Corps is added to the navigational map.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 12:35 AM

I have tried, but when in the GPSN and I click on the military database search, Phoenix says she doesnt need to do that yet. I am still stuck. I have visited all the places: Carpe Diem, Rose Cafe, Military Post, university, radio station, etc. They are no longer highlighted. The only places I am able to go are the Metro Tunnel (I've solved the wall puzzle & now awaiting search warrent) L.Vanderbilt's house I can't visit until she returns from rehab, Phoenix's office and the Andropolis square. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I don't know what else to tell you except check the walkthrough or the guide and see what else you have not done.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 03:25 AM

Well, I guess I am going to have start the game over. I used your walkthrough and I guessed I must have missed something. Arrgh I hate starting over. Oh well, thank you for your help

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 03:48 AM

I have a guide not a walkthrough and that doesn't show the sequence of gameplay. It shows only what to do at certain places.
Check it and see if you have done things at each of those places already.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 03:05 PM

Have you tried going to the Thing Store and talking to Piper one more time? That's the only thing I can think of. I feel like I've been stuck a couple times where talking to 1 of those girls in the Thing Store triggered something somewhere else.

I'm actually playing this game right now too, but it's so non-linear it's hard for me to know what triggers what. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 03:38 PM

Yes, I have talked to Piper - several visits. I can no longer visit the Thing Store because I must be finished with it. I think my problem was early on when being questioned by the Chief, I did not take advantage of a search warrant or something. Thanks for your help, though.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 03:51 PM

Have you tried wasting time to get to the next day and then seeing if L Vanderbilt is back from rehab? I vaguely remember being "stuck" around day 20 something and that's pretty much what I did and then something opened up the next day.

If you want to send me your last saved game files, I can have a look to see if you have missed anything.

Hi. I'm replaying Culpa and I'm sorta having an odd problem. I've done everything (was currently at the rehab but everyday now the doc is in surgery and I can do nothing else! The diary has been blank since days 22-23 (nothing red) and I'm on the 26th (diary shows 26 and 26 continued) I've done everything I could, can't revisit anyone as most sites are darkened and nothing new happens at the club. Can't even go back to Carpe Diem. She won't do the tunnels. I was hoping to get a tiny hint from the diary, but can't. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks!

BubbaJake, You haven't done anything in the tunnels yet? You do have to do that to continue, I believe. The tunnels are only accessible in the evening/nighttime.

You said she "won't do" the tunnels. What happens when you click on the gate leading back to the subway tunnels?

oh that would be fantastic! How do I send you one of my saved games? I've never done that before. Thank you

BubbaJake:

Click to reveal..
Did you do the plane crash video thing? If you have the disc for that, you need to take that to the media room (or whatever it is called).

If you'd like me to take a peek at your saved game, please feel free to email it (the *.sav and *.nif) to me as well.

Just click on my profile and email both the *.nif and *.sav file to the email address listed and I'll have a look and see if I can figure out what you have to do next.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 11:24 PM

Hi and thank you all for your help. Mind you, I have played the game before and still have some of my own saved games. I just had a lot of crashes before and wanted a crash-free experience. I have done the plane crash part, the butterfly 3d comparisons, the extrusion, the questioning of all the suspects except Lena and investigation of the home of the victim who died by the weird device (the last isn't on my list yet). She will not go into the tunnels in the day or evening (I tried when nothing was happening at the Stardust, she suddenly decided she was too tired. I've discovered I can't get to the kiosk nearest the Stardust. I've been to 1 in the business district, the Ultimate faithful, near Thing store and the Allied one. I cannot trigger the Mata Hari butterfly dance.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/01/08 11:40 PM

Have you tried skipping to the next evening (just waste time somewhere, location to location) and trying the metro tunnels first thing when she gets home from work?

Also, what locations are open during the day?

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/02/08 01:20 AM

Edelweiss, I got your saved games. You still have a lot to do in the game. Don't concentrate too much on what's left in red, but continue with the new information you're given. Even though you were supposed to search the military records, it seems like that you already gained access to the military base location to talk to someone there, correct?

Anyway, when starting your saved game 3, you should get prompted to go to the chief's office and after talking to her you should get an autopsy report and you then will have access to the rehab centre to talk to the neurosurgeon there. You'll also be able to visit Roger Arnett sometime during the day (you'll get a phone call). You'll be able to revisit the metro tunnels after you get a decision on the warrant (again, only at night).

Hope this helps!

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/02/08 04:08 AM

Oh thanks so much, Misa! You are awesome. I am going to load my game 3. Yes, I have already been to the military post - several times. Guess I didn't realize I had the clearance, duh!
You are right, I probably just didn't realize I had to waste time for a day or so until I was able to "move on" in the game.
Thanks again so much. Better than starting completely over.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/02/08 04:20 AM

Edelweiss, you're welcome! I think certain tasks stay red and affect your "end score" even after you get the task accomplished a different way. Sometimes you'll find you have to "waste time" to trigger other events.

MaG, happy to help with peeking at other people's progress through their saved games since it's so non-linear and there's so much to do in it. smile

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 06:09 AM

Ahhh Misa, I really need help. I am now on day 24. I still have no other places open to me to visit except work and I have wandered all the halls on each floor; I can go to the pyrimid and have wandered all over each little street; no stores or evening places are open except the metro. I can't get down the tunnels until I get warrant. I did what you said, there's no one left to talk to even Alessandra doesn't talk to me anymore. I don't know what else to do?? The chief still hasn't called and I can't get the rehab place to call. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate. Thank you

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 12:37 PM

While waiting for misa (since he knows your gameplay already), check the different kiosks, the Stardust club at night and maybe do some exercise in your health club.
Check if there are any place in your map you can go to. Also check the pyramid.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 01:26 PM

Since day 19 (I am now on day 24) I go to the gym everyday, I have checked every kiosk around the city, I just ride the metro to kill time. I even walk all around the entire city at night, which is quite pretty at night! Oh, and I've gone to the club which is unavailable at night on the Pyramid map, but if you "walk" to it at night, you are able to get in. I've gone down every little side street, nook and cranny. If it continues this way until I reach day 30,I will probably give up and start over. It's been a fantastic game up to this point. Thanks MaG

Edelweiss,

I don't think you need to start over. Have you checked the diary? Maybe it mentions the enxt move to do. Next task?

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 06:37 PM

Edelweiss, I looked at your saved games but they're at the same point as the last saved games you sent me (see my previous post about what happens after you start your saved game). Did you have a more recent one where you're stuck?

Maybe you sent me the wrong ones?

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 07:54 PM

No, the only difference was - was that I spent 3 more days ambling about trying to make the "days" past. That's all. When I opened my last game like you said, I never received a call or prompt from the chief to go to her office or anything. Does it happen for you. I have another saved game that was saved prior to those two that I could send you to see if you can progress further on that one. Would that help? Thanks, Misa

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 08:47 PM

Yes, when I open both save game 3 and save game 4, it goes immediately to a call from the chief to report. I'll progress in it a little further and send it to you with new locations opened up.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 09:14 PM

That would be great. Maybe I just have a "glitch" or something.
Hopefully, that will work. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 09:34 PM

It seems for some reason that you're not getting the automatic triggers with the same saved games. Not really sure why.

Okay, just sent you back save game 5. It has a new location opened up for you (the rehab centre to talk to the neurosurgeon about Spencer's autopsy report).

Let me know if that helps.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 09:56 PM

No problem MaG. It's strange that Edelweiss isn't getting the automatic triggers that I get when using the exact same saved game. Hmm... very interesting.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/05/08 11:52 PM

Thank you, Misa. I will save the game 5 in my game file and keep your fingers crossed. Will let you know if this worked.
Have a good evening.

Re: Culpa Innata - need help please - 01/06/08 01:49 AM

Whew, Misa sure was a lifesaver! I was able to continue the game after he sent me game 5. I believe I had a glitch or something. I am up and running again. Thank you to all who responded when I was stuck. I hope this doesn't happen to anybody else. Anyway, I am happily playing again.
I am off to continue the game....... thanks
