Please Help Machinarium - 10/17/09 10:11 PM

Yes I need help

It is in the room where the berries are picked up and dropped into the hot furnace (in the middle of the machine)

The controls on the far right have for some reason locked in place. Also the lever that calls the berry cart has also locked in place. So there is nothing I can do but climb in or climb out of the empty cart. I was able (earlier) to have the machine lift me out of the cart. It did not move anywhere else though and I was simply forced to have it drop me back down into the cart. So I don't know what to do., I need help here

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/17/09 10:13 PM

Michael,

It sounds like it's your game. Best to see if resolving your other problem posted at Glitches forum is corrected. That might resolve this one.
If not - contact the developer. luck

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/17/09 11:11 PM

No it is not a glitch. The developers would not help me with hint problems.

Somehow, that three lever thing has to be set a certain way. This is the part I need help with.

The whole mechanism seems to reset itself after you have attempted it abour five times.

I realise what the character needs to do; jump through that port-hole on the upper right side

The problem is I don't understand what levers to press and also how to get the character past where they would be dropped in the fiery furnace.

I still need help. Please someone help me

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/17/09 11:21 PM

The levers should not be locked in place if you are setting it up. Once the clamp rotates, then it can't be moved anymore.

You want to reach the platform of the left first and then the porthole at right.

Be sure that you have the lever-handle taken from right of door at right side of room.
Do levers: 1 down, 2 up, 3 down; press button.
Lower him to regular height and immediately go to empty cart.
Climb in cart.
He is caught and brought up.
When he reaches the platform at left, there's a left arrow (left of him). Click to get to platform immediately.

Do the puzzle in the platform and proceed from there.

Hi Lise,

I'm almost at the point where you are at, but not quite. smile Let's wait for help here. You could also get an in-game hint by clicking on the Hint button at top right of the game screen, or unlock a page of the walkthrough similarly also, if you are desperate.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/18/09 06:09 PM

Did you move the boxes over the magnet first? it took me quite a while to move the arrows to the right position. You have to move the arrows in 11 moves. There are 7 spaces to move. The last move I forgot but that should help .Richard

Thank you for your answer but where is the magnet?????And I' m sorry but I dont understand your moves
I move the box near the lady.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/18/09 06:47 PM

Lisa the O are the arrows top to bottom. The 1 is the first one you click on the 2 is the second one you click on and so forth. some of them you have to click on twice. Like the 1/and when you come to the 7 click on it. The magnet is right over the boxes.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/18/09 07:29 PM

Glad you got it Lise. I found a great Walkthrough for this game. I did a google search and I came to this one. Just click on the first one. If I shouldn't be doing this let me know. I saved it to my desk top and printed it. 17 pages so it must be a long game.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/19/09 05:12 PM

This is realy a fun game. fall

But I have a problem. For some reasons, I lost my saves.

Here is where I am.
I'm at the well where the old lady in the wheelchair is.
I have done the part of the three musicians.
I have done the part of the big wrench.
I have done almost the part where the cat was.
I have work with the big clock.
But I can't get in the well.
I can't give the old lady what she wants.
I can't get that door open where the cat was electrocuted.
I can't get that machine near the well give me something.

If someone can send me a save for that area completed or for that area but with a few hints, I'll take anything you have.

Thanks in advance. thanks

Chief,Have you looked at the walkthrough? That should get you where you are stuck. I don't know where the saves are stored. Do you have any saves at all?

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/19/09 06:10 PM

Hello Richard.

I completely lost them and twice and I did not look where they were stored when I had them.

Maybe in My Documents????

I'll have a look at the WT and if I do not get a save, I'll just start over.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/19/09 07:51 PM

Chief,

I checked the Machinarium forum. The disappearing saved game has been posted HERE. The XP solve might help.

I will look for the saved game file. If I find it, I'll post.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/19/09 08:05 PM

Hmmm. I've found the Machinarium.sol file in Macromedia\Flash Player (what a place to put it!), and assume that it contains the individual saves in my game, but there's no way to separate them out to send individually. Installing this file on another's game would automatically replace ALL their current saves? think
Posted By: MaG

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/19/09 08:09 PM

Since the flash player game, the saved game is not like we're used to - that is a single file for each frame or instance we save. In this case, the saved game is just one file that we can't (or not know) open. Sorry.

The best bet is to solve the problem using the link I posted.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/21/09 09:41 PM

I am playing this also and am stuck on the rotating circle puzzle, you have to move until you get all green buttons in the triangle. Does anyone know where there are instructions on how to solve this kind of puzzle. I am starting to get frustrated.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/21/09 10:12 PM

Don't mind the green buttons so much, but instead get two red ones next to each other and move them outwards. They're 'safe' there
That makes it a lot easier

Thanks for the site I bookmarked it. Here is a link to where I am now and I don't know which arrow to use next for fear of messing it up again. There are quite a few arrow directions one can move. Machinarium triangle circle puzzle

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/21/09 10:59 PM

Try this - if it doesn't work, you can easily backtrack.

Right circle: 1 click left
Bottom circle: 1 click right
Right circle: 1 click right

Rushes when you say right, is it the bottom or top right arrows, hard when there are 6 arrows to move. When you say L is it clockwise or counter, same with R. I tryed but I messed it up. I can do any combinations but always just can't get the last one placed.

Of course it didn't keep the pattern I had when I quit out of the game, now one of the left side ones is stuck in red. I am going to try to get it back the way I had it and come to GB on the laptop.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/22/09 12:11 AM

Left should be counterclockwise, right should be clockwise. You'll see from the direction the arrows are pointing in which one to use. smile

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/22/09 12:20 AM

I will try again, but now I have the bottom with green on R, red on L, just the opposite of my link. Which direction should I change? Have done similar puzzles but none were this difficult. Sorry.

Edit here: I finally got the puzzle solved, managed to get one corner left and after having watched these walkthrough videos over and over I finished it. Whew thanks for the help, plus did find the saves on the Vista, now to locate them on my XP where I am actually playing it.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/22/09 04:21 AM

This is unusual for me, but I actually got this one by concentrating of the red marbles, not the green ones. You have to get 2 red marbles next to each other on each "wheel/circle." When you do, they just rotate into position. Sweet and I'm so proud of myself!

Yeah, I know, I'm easily entertained...
Posted By: hawkavonpuka

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/22/09 05:05 AM

That is what I finally ended up doing, thanks to Nanettes suggestion, but I was still having a problem with the last green one going into place. I am glad that I finished it too, but since I also have this on the laptop I will run into it again, sigh!

Wouldn't you know it, I replayed to catch up on my laptop and got the puzzle in a flash, easier when the pressure is off I guess.

Now I am stuck on the horrid five in a row puzzle in the bar.

Re: Please Help Machinarium - 10/22/09 09:42 PM

Be sure to keep an eye on what your opponent is doing; block him as soon as he starts to form a line of 2 or 3. Start forming your own line but leave a gap between several of your counters so that he doesn't guess you're going for a line, then fill in the gaps. Good luck!
