I thought the game played quite similarly to the other Tex games. Most of the players here enjoyed the game very much. Using the Smart Alex device that you get in the game, there is also the option to skip puzzles and get game hints. If you read the beginning of the walkthrough here on GameBoomers, it gives you some good information on how to play.
Like the other Tex games, there are sections of the game that appeal more to some players than to others. The timed sequence in the compound in Pandora Directive is something that not everyone enjoyed, for example.
Having said that, if you don't enjoy the game, you are certainly not obligated to play it. Players do not all like the same games.
